Petition to Sign, New CLSP Lesson, and Urgently Needed Prayers

Last week we told you about the appalling sex education program being promoted by the Pontifical Council for the Family and asked you to sign a petition. So far, over 3,800 of you have signed. It is not too late to add your name to the petition. Just go to and add your name. Your children and grandchildren—as well as young people all across the world—could be saved from this program by your signature on this document.

This week, American Life League’s Culture of Life Studies Program released its latest study for middle school students entitled Defend Life: The Beauty of the Developing Human Being. For the first time, 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to explore the development of a human being in a way that trains them to stand up in defense of all human beings—both born and preborn. Not only do students learn the facts of a preborn baby’s development, but they also learn why each human being has intrinsic value. This is crucial for ending abortion and bringing down Planned Parenthood for good. Defend Life explores the science of the first moments of every human person’s life. With the expertise of renowned pro-life biologist Dr. Dianne Irving, Defend Life shows students the intricate changes that take place before a person makes his entrance into the outside world. We have known for some time that Planned Parenthood virtually controls the state legislative bodies in California. Whatever Planned Parenthood wants, Planned Parenthood gets in the Golden State. This week, the California Senate passed legislation sponsored by Planned Parenthood criminalizing the publication of evidence of its business practices, which includes harvesting and selling the baby body parts. As explained by Alexandra Snyder of the Life Legal Defense Foundation,

Assembly Bill 1671 makes it a crime to publish confidential conversations with health care providers—even if those conversations disclose criminal activity. Moreover, the bill includes volunteers and independent contractors of abortion clinics as “health care providers.” This means anyone who posts a photo or video of an interaction with an abortion clinic employee or volunteer—including clinic escorts—could be prosecuted under the bill. AB 1671 provides for penalties of up to $10,000 per violation and one year in state prison.

The California Assembly had previously passed the bill with different wording, so there must be a vote of the full California legislature before it can be sent to the governor for his signature. The bill is opposed by the Los Angeles Times, the ACLU, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, among others. Please pray that God will open the eyes of the California legislators and that this bill will be defeated. If it does pass, we expect there will be immediate legal challenges as it clearly violates the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
