Reproductive Health Abroad

Planned Parenthood is hopping mad because a U.S. House Appropriations Committee voted 30-23 against a funding amendment that would have provided tax dollars to the United Nations Fund for Population Activities. In their statement, House Block UNFPA Funds, Planned Parenthood accuses the Bush Administration of denying reproductive health care to vulnerable women.

They argue that unintended pregnancies have increased since the funding was first denied in 2001. But hold the phone! According to reports we have seen, UNFPA is bad to the bone. In fact, just ten months ago Focus on the Family told the world that UNFPA backs abortion for ten-year-olds!  And that's just the beginning.

Let's hope Congress does the right thing and protects all children from the plague of lies groups like Planned Parenthood would inflict on them.
