Defending Preborn Earthlings on Earth Day

By Rey Flores

Once again the environmentalist crowd is reminding us to hug a tree. However, this year is Earth Day’s 45th anniversary, so these people are making it an even bigger deal than usual.

Never mind earth’s greatest resource—humanity itself. Who cares about protecting the preborn human being when you can save a whale? After all, the human parasite will only bring more destruction into the world through his or her indelible carbon footprint, right?

In Genesis 2:15 we are instructed to care for all of God’s creation: “The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the Garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it.” I have no problem with that.

As a matter of fact, I would consider myself somewhat of an environmentalist since I recycle as much as I can. I have backyard chickens and have even dabbled in growing my own food. In addition, one of my biggest pet peeves—if not the biggest one—is litterbugs.

Environmentalist zealots who see the earth as more important than its inhabitants—at least the human ones—fail to acknowledge the fifth commandment entirely.

This coming weekend, American Life League Associate Group SURVIVORS of the Abortion Holocaust is taking its pro-earthling message to one of the nation’s largest Earth Day celebrations in the country. Around 70,000 attendees are expected at San Diego’s Earth Fair 2015 held at Balboa Park to celebrate everything “earth.” Well, everything except the earthlings themselves, at least not the preborn ones.

SURVIVORS sees Earth Fair as an excellent opportunity to defend the crown of creation—human life—and to reach many people who would have never given abortion a second thought otherwise. It is an opportunity to help people understand what a horrific act of violence it is.

These pro-life activists must be brave, for they encounter much opposition. For instance, those who run the Earth Fair committee recruit homosexual radical hate groups like The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, who are actually men in dresses with parasols. They are hired to block and harass pro-life protestors and keep them from engaging with the fair attendees in any way.

THIS IS HOW SURVIVORS DESCRIBES IT:

A six-foot man in heels and a dress stalks after you, blocking your sign with his parasol. You turn in an attempt to ask a passerby what she thinks about abortion only to have a “security” guard order her away from you. Again you turn your sign, so other passersby will at least see the abortion victim portrayed on your sign, but two volunteers rush up and block you with a crudely made sign consisting of a rainbow painted on a sheet and stapled to two PVC pipes. The man in the dress stands by with his parasol in case you try again to talk to someone.

They can try to block us, but they won’t stop our message. Seventy thousand people will be there. Some of those people are pregnant. Some of them are considering abortion. Some of them have friends who are considering abortion. All of them have an effect on those around them and can help build a culture of life if we’re able to show them why abortion is wrong.

If you live in the Southern California area, join SURVIVORS this weekend. If you live elsewhere and there is an Earth Day event near you, consider attending and either wearing a pro-life T-shirt or organizing some kind of pro-life demonstration. American Life League provides SURVIVORS with many of its pro-life handout materials, which you can order as well from our prolifegear.com website.

If you can’t make it to an event, please take it to social media and hit the Earth Day Twitter feeds with the following hashtags: #earthday, #prolifeearthday, and #loveprebornbabyearthlingstoo.

I invite you to love the earth, but never forget to love the preborn baby earthlings too!
