Pro-Life This Week – June 12, 2026

Week in Review

A YouTuber Has Gone Viral for Aborting His Son with Down Syndrome; Are Pro-Life Laws to Blame?

Last week, a popular YouTuber faced backlash for announcing that he and his wife had aborted their preborn son who had a likelihood of being born with Down syndrome. The story has gone viral, as people are furious that a husband and wife could do such a thing, and it has prompted a new conversation about eugenics.

However, the reality is, what we allow to pass as “pro-life” in this country allowed this tragedy to happen.

Every single abortion regulation, often touted as “pro-life,” that stands in this country holds exceptions for three major reasons: rape, health of the mother, or health of the child. These compromises, along with baseless milestone bans like 20-week bans, 12-week bans, and heartbeat bills, have watered down the true meaning of the term pro-life. And now it is commonplace for parents to abort a child due to a disability. The YouTuber’s decision is not an uncommon one.

Abortion always takes an innocent life. There is no medical diagnosis that makes a person less important. There is no milestone a person can reach where they suddenly become worth protecting. Regardless of her location, in the womb or out of it, the preborn child deserves every ounce of protection that you and I have the privilege of having.

Why? Because human life matters.

The unfortunate reality is that much of what passes for pro-life in this country denies this very fact and makes desperate efforts to compromise just so there is something “pro-life” on the books. But simply calling something pro-life does not make it so.

Pro-life means protecting and valuing all human life, regardless of the circumstances. Pro-life means speaking against all abortion, not just some.

The anger that has ensued after this YouTuber’s justification of murdering his own child is righteous. What he and his wife have done is evil.

But we have to look within at what we deem “pro-life” and recognize that the laws and values that have been passed off as pro-life are the very laws that allow this to happen. We cannot compromise on abortion and then be enraged when people use these compromises.

In order to prevent eugenics and all other justifications for abortion, we must stand firm and deny any exceptions or compromise. All human life is worth protecting, not just some.

Planned Parenthood and the Push for ‘Period Pills’

By Katherine Van Dyke

Planned Parenthood published a blog post at the end of May promoting “period pills” for women to take should their menstrual cycle be delayed. However, the truth is that these so-called “period pills” are the same drugs used to kill preborn children through the abortion pill regimen—mifepristone and misoprostol.

Planned Parenthood begins the post acknowledging that some doctors will prescribe women the combination of mifepristone and misoprostol or just misoprostol alone. The post also admits the intent behind these pills: “People take period pills if they think they might be pregnant and don’t want to be. You don’t take a pregnancy test or get an ultrasound to see if you’re actually pregnant before taking them. But if you ARE pregnant, period pills will end the pregnancy.”

In other words, Planned Parenthood is encouraging women to take the abortion pills if their period is late rather than confirm if they are pregnant.

Planned Parenthood is not the first to promote or report on this method to commit more abortions. However, this specific push for a woman to take abortion pills when her period is late appears to have resurged following the Dobbsdecision and most recently, legal challenges against mifepristone.

There are several factors as to why a woman’s menstrual cycle might be delayed, though pregnancy is the most common reason. However, for the woman who is not pregnant, taking these pills causes concern for her health, and she will still suffer from the side effects attributed to the abortion pill.

If a woman is experiencing hormonal issues or other underlying issues with her reproductive system (PCOS or endometriosis, which often cause irregular cycles), the abortion industry’s recommendation is plain and simple: Take the pills anyway, because you might be pregnant. This apathy toward both the woman and child is the antithesis of the “healthcare” Planned Parenthood promises to women.

Ironically, a Planned Parenthood blog post from April 2023 poses a contradiction to this period pills scheme, saying, “There’s no reason to use abortion pills if you’re not pregnant. . . . Even though abortion pills are safe, they can have side effects that are unpleasant. . . . It’s not necessary to go through all that if you don’t have to.”

Presently, Planned Parenthood does not advertise “period pills” as one of its “services,” but it does offer these pills at their face value for abortion. However, Planned Parenthood does refer to a larger group (of which Planned Parenthood is a member) called The Period Pills Project in its blog post.

Most importantly, however, is that a woman could be pregnant with her child and unknowingly kill that child because Planned Parenthood told her it was “safe” to take these drugs to bring her period back. This abortion-in-disguise method is used to kill both the preborn child and the knowledge of his/her existence. It neglects the woman who is pregnant and fearful and causes her to believe she is better off taking these drugs. It disregards the woman who is not pregnant and who is not being given the proper medical attention regarding her delayed cycles and reproductive health.

This scheme is truly diabolical, and it’s psychological manipulation. Though it is considered a “gray area” in healthcare and the law, the truth is that these pills are given to cause death to a preborn baby. We must bring awareness to this horrific reality and fight to end it. And we must value all preborn babies and protect them from the insidiousness that fuels Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry.

VIDEO SHORT: Meet a Family That Shows Genuine Love for a Child with a Disability

Last week we shared video of the YouTube couple who ordered the execution of their preborn child out of fear that he might have had Down syndrome. The couple has shown zero remorse despite outrage from social media

The Ridgways fail to understand the gravity of their decision. Their baby didn’t meet their YouTube expectations, so they deleted him. But there are other parents out there doing what the Ridgways refused to do—taking care of a child because of the simple fact that every child needs care. Some need more than others. Take this mom for example:

The simple act of washing and drying her daughter’s hair becomes a huge undertaking for this mom. So why do it?

Love.

Love your neighbor, born and preborn.
