STOPP’s Research Fuels Florida v. Planned Parenthood Lawsuit
False advertisement is one of the many deceptive tactics of Planned Parenthood. Florida attorney general James Uthmeier is suing the abortion giant for just that and is using STOPP’s exclusive research to do it.
In November 2025, Florida announced that it was bringing a lawsuit against Planned Parenthood for its deceptive language when advertising the deadly abortion pill regimen. Planned Parenthood is known for making claims that the killer pills are “safer than Tylenol.”
To write the official complaint, Attorney General Uthmeier used several pieces of STOPP’s research. The two STOPP reports used include the 2025 Report on Planned Parenthood CEO Compensation, which documents the organization’s $3.1 billion in assets and the outrageous multi-million-dollar salaries paid to its executives, and our groundbreaking research exposing how chemical abortions have become Planned Parenthood’s “cash cow” and are significantly more profitable than surgical abortions.
Just this week, a circuit court judge rejected Planned Parenthood’s efforts to dismiss the case, reiterating that Planned Parenthood needs to be investigated for making these claims about the safety of the abortion pills.
In the official complaint, Attorney General Uthmeier stated, “It is vile that Planned Parenthood cares more about lining their pockets than providing women with factual information about the health risks of chemical abortion drugs.”
Charity Watchlist Update
In case you missed it this week, American Life League’s Charity Watchlist website has undergone a few updates that will make it even easier to navigate!
First, we have updated our website to improve the readability of our lengthy list, especially when accessing it from smartphones.
Second, we have included a “Full Report” button next to most of our charities; this provides easier access to our downloadable PDFs that offer thorough research about the charity.
Finally, we provide updates on some things to look forward to:
- ALL is currently working on a search function feature so that visitors to the website can find the charity they want to know about specifically without having to scroll through the entire list.
- ALL’s research team is also conducting research on previously rated charities featured on our list to determine if there are any updates. This will help us decide whether a charity’s rating should change.
American Life League’s Charity Watchlist continues to grow in length thanks to the help of our supporter’s generosity and inquiries for research into more charitable organizations! In addition to adding charities to our website regularly, we send our monthly Charity Watchlist Updates emails directly to your inbox. The Kroger Company’s Stance on Life and Family
The grocery store corporation Kroger claims that one of its core values is that it treats “all with dignity.” Yet, following the US Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022, the grocery store chain began covering up to $4,000 of abortion-related costs to help its employees kill their preborn children. Kroger also prescribes birth control through “The Little Clinic,” its in-store health clinic. Lastly, the company boasts on its website that it is “one of just a few retailers willing to openly advocate for and make real change toward LGBTQ+ diversity and inclusion.”

YouTubers Announce That They Chose Death for Their Preborn Child with Down Syndrome
Losing a child to cancer is a tragedy. Losing a child to abortion . . . is an act of evil.
Too often parents fall under the spell that a preborn child who fails to meet their expectations is as cancelable as an online streaming service. One such father is finding out he isn’t winning any Father-of-the-Year Awards.
A week after posting a video in real time capturing the moment he and his wife received a Trisomy 21 diagnosis, YouTuber Jesse Ridgeway shared the following awful story, which has quickly gone viral:
. . . no matter what we decided.
I know some of you may be very disappointed to hear this news. We are devastated. This has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley.
She underwent the procedure earlier this week and is on the mend. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, but emotionally we are drained.
Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome, is caused by an extra chromosome. It is caused by an error in cell division, like a glitch. The odds of a baby having it is 1 in 1000.
When I first confronted this news, I was shocked but optimistic. If they’re a little slow intellectually, then we’ll make it work. I signed on to be a parent, come what may…but I just didn’t fully understand what Down Syndrome entailed.
Once we made it public, it became clear that MOST people don’t know what Down Syndrome entails (and no, it’s not the same as Autism):
50% of babies with DS have heart defects. 75% will have hearing challenges. Over 50% will have vision problems. Impaired immune function, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, delayed physical development, poor muscle tone, structural issues with face, decreased lifespan, etc…Sadly, the list is long, feel free to look it up…Down Syndome isn’t a “blessing”, it is objectively shitty from a health perspective.
I didn’t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family…more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life.
The miscarriage risk is also close to 50%, which made matters worse…they may never see the light of day and it puts Ashley further at risk.
We spoke with doctors, friends, family and genetic counselors and learned that up to 90% of women terminate their pregnancy after learning the baby has Trisomy 21.
This was WAY higher than I expected, I thought it would be lower given that I hear so many say they kept or would keep the baby. I believe that’s because most terminations happen privately, it feels shameful. A lot of judgment being cast.
You never think you’d be in this type of situation until it happens to you and then things change.
To all of my fans who have weighed in on this topic who have Autism, Down Syndrome or any other conditions…we appreciate you. You matter a lot and we’re glad you’re here. I commend you and your families for having the strength and courage to push forward.
As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice.
It will take a little time to move on, but we are excited to try again in the future and hopefully have a better outcome.
Love you guys & thank you for understanding.
In 2008, Virginia father Tom Vander Woude lost his life while saving his son Joseph who has Down syndrome. Joseph had fallen into a deep septic tank and began to drown until Tom jumped in and lifted him. Workmen managed to help lift Joseph from the deep, but Tom succumbed to the methane gases. Friends are seeking Tom’s canonization.
That is the ultimate sacrifice of a father, to be willing to give up his life for his children. It is incredibly sad that Ridgeway could not do what Vander Woude did—protect the life of his son.
Awful.
None of us were.
