Pro-Life This Week – April 23, 2021

Week in Review – Local community action stops sex program implementation

Parents in Delta County, Colorado, acted immediately when a local high school newsletter claimed that the school district had approved a Comprehensive Human Sexuality Education (CHSE) program and was implementing sex ed classes in the spring. The parents immediately let their opposition be known and began getting people out to the April 15 school board meeting. With all the concern in the county, the school board added a discussion of sex education to the meeting agenda. The school board meeting was scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM, but concerned citizens began arriving at 4:00 PM. The Montrose Press reported that “a crowd of between 300 to 400 persons gathered to show its opposition to comprehensive, inclusive sex education.” In the days following the meeting, the school board issued the following statement:

“A little over a year ago, Delta County School District was approached by a few individuals asking to implement a Comprehensive Human Sexuality Education Curriculum (CHSE) that aligns with [Colorado] House Bill 19-1032. The school board did not feel they had enough information, so they formed a task force to study the needs, and recommend a possible CHSE curriculum that was standard-based.

“The school board has decided NOT to adopt a CHSE curriculum at this time. The school board has decided to have the district’s attorney draft a ‘one-pager’ explaining the district’s options and then share that information with the communities of Delta County. The board would also like to survey the community in the next few months to determine if the school district should provide a standards-aligned CHSE curriculum.

“At this time, the CSHE survey will ask if the community supports providing a curriculum that aligns with House Bill 19-1032 and state standards. After the survey results are collected, school district leadership and the school board will determine the next steps.”

Clearly, fast community action stopped the implementation of this comprehensive sexuality education program in its tracks. We can imagine the shock that went through the school board when hundreds of people showed up at its meeting to object to a program that was not even on the board’s agenda for that evening.

Congratulations to the citizens of Delta County, Colorado, for your very quick action that has saved your children from this CHSE program. You done good!

In other developments, Planned Parenthood’s national president, Alexis McGill Johnson, made news this week by writing an opinion piece in the New York Times condemning the racism of Margaret Sanger, admitting to current racism within Planned Parenthood affiliates, and saying that Planned Parenthood will somehow end the racism while keeping Sanger as an important part of its history. American Life League issued a report on Planned Parenthood racism in November 2020 and this op-ed seems like a reaction to that report.

ALL in the News – Planned Parenthood Confirms What ALL Has Been Saying for Decades; Bi-Weekly STOPP Report Makes Press Rounds; Judie Brown’s Commentaries Are Reprinted As Op-Eds

On Monday of this week, American Life League responded with a press release to Planned Parenthood’s New York Times article. Over the weekend, Planned Parenthood president Alexis McGill Johnson published an op-ed in the Times admitting that the abortion giant has been, and still is, a racist organization. This is a fact that American Life League has been touting for years, even making it the center of a research report published in the fall of 2020.

On Wednesday, Jim Sedlak released the bi-weekly STOPP Report. The report covers in detail the Times article by Planned Parenthood’s president. The first article in the STOPP Report, Planned Parenthood Feeling Pressure on Racist Activities, was published as an op-ed on the American Life League website and distributed to ALL’s press list.

Every Friday afternoon, the American Life League social media team, Dwain Currier and Katie Brown, host the Friday Live Show on Instagram Live. The show regularly discusses current events and provides young adults a platform where they can have their culture of life questions answered. Replays of the show can be found on Facebook.

This week, American Life League executive vice president Hugh Brown was a guest on Alan Keyes’ segment on IAMTV. Hugh and Alan regularly discuss hot-button political issues pertaining to our country and the culture of life. The full interview will appear on the show “Let’s Talk America with Alan Keyes”. Clips of the show can be found on ALL’s Facebook page.

Twice a week, Judie Brown’s commentaries are distributed to an expansive media list. The list contains over 100 media outlets such as Fox News, The Federalist, Breitbart, and The Daily Caller, among others. Judie’s Tuesday commentary, Nobody Cares, was featured on the front page of ALL.org. The commentary was republished as an op-ed on CNS News and Pregnancy Help News. Each commentary is also featured as a part of Judie’s recurring column on Renew America

Jim Sedlak’s Pro-Life Activism from Creation to Death is a weekly talk-radio program on the Radio Maria USA network. The show can be heard live every Friday at noon (Eastern Time) and is repeated on Saturdays (10 PM).

Video of the Week – A Reminder of Why Planned Parenthood Came into Existence

Planned Parenthood is attempting to whitewash its racist history with op-eds in the New York Times. Admitting that the abortion empire has a legacy of bigotry and hate doesn’t negate its current record of fraud and bloodshed. No good can come from an institution of evil. Nearly 13 years ago, we released “Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood’s Racist Founder” and it continues to be one of our most popular videos on our YouTube channel

Action Item of the Week – Fighting sexuality education in your schools

For over a year, American Life League has been very involved with the Freedom Speaks Coalition as they are fighting against immoral and illegal sexuality education in the state of Florida (and elsewhere). The effort has produced a reportand a slide presentation highlighting the outrageous things that are going on in Florida (and many more states’) schools.

American Life League’s executive director, Jim Sedlak, has a talk show on the Radio Maria Network broadcast live on Fridays at noon, Eastern Time. Last week, he had the leader of the Freedom Speaks Coalition, Beverly Kilmer, on the show to talk about what is going on in the schools.

We must tell you: Your children are under attack and that attack is much worse than it has ever been. We knew about the offensive naked drawings used in the sexuality education programs and the “have sex anytime you want” message given to pre-teens and teens in America’s classrooms. But the Freedom Speaks Coalition’s work has documented the horrible push for gender identity and the raising of transgender and all LGBTQ children to the position of being school heroes, which surprised even Jim. It is hard to describe in writing what is going on, but we taped the show with Beverly, and you can listen to it by going to www.all.org/audio and listening to show #162. We encourage you to listen to that program and begin to understand the real threat to your children. Find out, especially, the true story of the medical procedure two 12-year-old girls want their parents to okay.

Unlike other efforts to change what is going on in the schools, Freedom Speaks Coalition has documented why much of what is being fed to your children is ILLEGAL under both federal and state laws.

If you are going to be anywhere near Orlando, Florida, next Friday, April 30, please go to the Freedom Speaks Conference at the Rosen Plaza Hotel, 9700 International Dr., Orlando, FL. The one-day conference begins at 8:30 AM. There will be a sheriff delivering a talk at the conference letting you know what you should do to get local law enforcement to help you stop what is happening in your schools.

Although much of the material is documented from Florida schools, the same material is already being pushed across our nation. Be prepared to stop this in your town.

Pro-life Social Media – ‘She Dehumanized People’: Planned Parenthood President Can’t Erase its Racist History

If you’re pro-life and have an approximate relationship with racism, you get canceled. If you’re pro-abortion and have a legacy of White supremacy, that’s okay, because you’re pro- “reproductive justice.”

The president/CEO of the racist Planned Parenthood Federation of America shared a link to her editorial in the holocaust-denying New York Times. She’s “done” making excuses for its racist founder, Margaret Sanger.

From the NY Times

“Margaret Sanger harmed generations with her beliefs. In our second century, Planned Parenthood has a chance to heal those harms. Reckoning with Margaret Sanger is one thing. We also need to reckon with ourselves.”

This is Planned Parenthood’s version of reparation. Give back to the people it harmed by providing them with more dead children.

Sensible employees quit when they learn of their company’s complicity in evil. McGill Johnson isn’t one of them; she’s keeping her six-figure salary.

Planned Parenthood isn’t leaving racism to the past. It exists within its framework to this day. Talking about racism isn’t making racism go away, so we’re not letting the abortion giant forget that it’s an icon of systemic racism.
