It’s Advent, not Christmas yet!

Since as far back as I can remember, the day after Thanksgiving has always been the day that retailers started in on their heavy sales campaigns to entice the American public into buying Christmas presents for their family and friends.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we reflect upon the things and people in our lives who give meaning and who inspire. The people mentioned in today’s commentary work daily to save not only lives, but to save souls. And in the process they touch hearts and minds.
