Pro-Life This Week – September 6, 2019

Week in Review – CMP Trial; PP’s new Birth Control money-making scheme

Major news in the pro-life world this week was the beginning of a nine-day hearing in California where a judge will evaluate the 14 criminal charges against the Center for Medical Progress’ undercover journalists, David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt. As The Federalist reported, during this hearing the judge will determine if there is probable cause Daleiden and Merritt committed a crime, and if so, will schedule a date for trial.  For those interested in following this hearing in detail, the Center for Medical Progress is posting the highlights and a summary of each day’s activities on its website

Daleiden notes for Day 1: “Planned Parenthood abortion providers appeared under oath in court today and admitted supplying the body parts of children in the womb to for-profit brokers like StemExpress. Meanwhile, the Vice President of the National Abortion Federation denied any knowledge of the gruesome trafficking in fetal body parts, despite hosting StemExpress as a major vendor at the trade shows. The first day of testimony confirmed what we have been saying all along—this is a biased attack on First Amendment civil rights and a political prosecution to shield Planned Parenthood from accountability for their crimes against women and children.”

In other news this week, Planned Parenthood made a major announcement about its scheme of providing a digital app—Planned Parenthood Direct—to allow the ordering of birth control products without the need for a visit to a medical professional’s office to get a prescription. The app is being rolled out state-by-state to allow customization for each state’s laws. At the present time, it is available in 27 states and the District of Columbia. Planned Parenthood says it will be available in all states by the end of 2020.

It must be noted that the pills offered through this app can and do kill human beings in the womb. The manufacturer’s data on the pills list three methods of operation: “Combined oral contraceptives act by suppression of gonadotropins. Although the primary mechanism of this action is inhibition of ovulation, other alterations include changes in the cervical mucus, which increase the difficulty of sperm entry into the uterus, and changes in the endometrium which reduce the likelihood of implantation.” (emphasis added) These pills kill babies in the womb before implantation! They are not “contraceptives”; they work by not allowing a child, already created, to be born. Birth control is the accurate term.

Women/girls who want to order these birth control pills, submit, via the app, an order plus a form giving personal information. The personal information is reviewed and, if approved, the order is accepted and the products mailed. For each order, women/girls pay a $15 fee to use the app plus $20 – $25 (depending on the state) for a month’s supply of pills. In at least nine states, the woman/girl must have a video conference with a medical professional. This is facilitated through a company, Kaleido Health Solutions, which says it’s independent, even though it was created two years ago by three women, one of whom was vice president of Healthcare Innovation for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Throughout the process facilitated by this app, there is a string of incestuous corporate bedfellows linked to Planned Parenthood. Although there has been wide public reporting of this new app, none of the media has mentioned that the only birth control products currently available to order are those made by a company in India for a South Carolina company, Afaxys. Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania referred to Afaxys as a “Planned Parenthood affiliated company.” Rather than just providing people in rural areas with a way to order birth control products of their choice without a doctor’s visit, as Planned Parenthood claims, it’s clear this is just another scheme to fill Planned Parenthood coffers with even more cash.

ALL in the News – Judie Pens Open Letter to a Catholic abortion supporter; Christian Post Amends Article

This week, Judie and American Life League were mentioned in an article in The Wanderer titled Hyperbole And The Magisterium. The author highlights Judie’s involvement in the pro-life movement.

If you missed Judie’s open letter to a Catholic abortion supporter, now is your chance to read and share it.

Judie’s weekly commentaries continue to be featured as a column on RenewAmerica.com. This week her Tuesday commentary, Views from the propaganda cesspool, appeared on the site’s front page.

Jim Sedlak’s Pro-Life Activism from Creation to Death is a weekly talk-radio program on the Radio Maria USA network.  The show can be heard live every Friday at noon (Eastern Time) and is repeated on Saturdays (10 PM).

Video of the Week – Vaccines, Aborted Human Fetuses, and Conscience

Is it permissible for Catholics to use vaccines that use aborted fetuses for pharmaceutical production?

The use of aborted fetuses in pharmaceutical production generates a lot of questions, and those who oppose their use are dismissed as “anti-vaxxers.”

Byoblu presents live streaming of the conference, “Faith, Science and Conscience,” sponsored by the association, RENOVATIO 21.

In this presentation, Debi Vinnedge of Children of God for Life explains how American pharmaceutical companies arrived at the decision to use the cells from aborted children to manufacture vaccines.

Action Item of the Week – Two Action Items

The U.S Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee is currently considering the PCHETA bill (Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act, S. 2080 and H.R. 647l). If passed PCHETA will expand the killing of our loved ones through more abuse of Palliative Care protocols.

To protect your family from their lives being ended too soon, send an e-mail to the senators listed below and tell them to VOTE NO on PCHETA.

ACTION ITEM #2: National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children

NEXT WEEK – the sixth annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2019.

The Day of Remembrance calls on pro-life Americans to honor the gravesites of our aborted brothers and sisters.

Solemn prayer vigils will be conducted at these gravesites, of which there are 52 across the United States, as well as at dozens of other sites dedicated in memory of aborted children. There are currently 180 memorial services scheduled for this year’s Day of Remembrance

As we go about our daily struggles against the culture of death in the United States, we must take some time to specifically remember those that have died in this war against God.

Pro-life Social Media – Kavanaugh Accuser Motivated to Protect Abortion Violence

Ever since Justice Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as a justice of the US Supreme Court, we’ve heard nil from his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. It’s as if some scheme to derail a Trump appointee failed and the abortion lobby has moved on.

Video surfaced of Ford’s lawyer, activist Debra Katz, admitting to an audience that her client came forward to accuse Kavanaugh in order to protect Roe v. Wade, the Court’s 1973 decision decriminalizing abortion.

“Elections have consequences. He will always have an asterisk next to his name. When he takes a scalpel to Roe v. Wade, we will know who he is, we know his character, and we know what motivates him, and that is important; it is important that we know, and that is part of what motivated Christine.

Seeking to derail an appointment to the Supreme Court wasn’t purely motivated by justice but by an agenda. Blasey Ford wanted to protect Roe v. Wade. Injustice doesn’t matter as long as the abortion lobby can protect its sacred cow.

A new book by Regnery Publishingwill also provide details into the chicanery.

We’re not holding our breath.
