Week in Review – Missouri to Become the First Abortion-Free State Since 1974; Arkansas Abortion Restriction Challenged

Baring no other judicial interventions, today Missouri will become the first state since 1974 to be free of surgical and medical abortions.

After weeks of legal battles, the state of Missouri has refused to renew the medical license of Reproductive Health Services of Planned Parenthood in St. Louis. The decision came last Friday, June 21, after the St. Louis clinic failed to pass the Department of Health and Senior Services’ examination. According to an ABC News article, the DHSS found 30 deficiencies in its review of the clinic, and Planned Parenthood has only addressed four of them.

However, on Monday, June 24, a circuit court judge extended the preliminary injunction that allowed the clinic to continue to perform abortions after the license was initially rejected. According to the ABC News article, this temporary restraining order runs through today. As long as the order is not extended for a third time, Missouri will become the first surgical and medical abortion-free state since Roe v. Wade was enacted.

While the RHS clinic will likely not close, it will no longer be permitted to murder babies. Planned Parenthood currently operates eight clinics in the state of Missouri, providing other services such as contraception and birth control. While these services can cause chemical abortions, none of the eight clinics will legally be allowed to perform surgical or medical abortions.

On Wednesday, June 26, the American Civil Liberties Union and Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit challenging an Arkansas law banning abortion at 18 weeks. The law, which will take effect on July 24, will reportedly force the state’s only surgical abortion clinic to close.

According to AP, part of the law requires that doctors who perform abortions be board-certified or board-eligible in obstetrics and gynecology. Apparently, this requirement is too much for Planned Parenthood, as it would force the state’s only surgical clinic to close.

ALL in the News – ALL Report Challenges AOC; Pro-Life Radio

On Monday, June 24, the Daily Wire published an article about AOC’s refusal to compare abortion mills to concentration camps. In the article, the Daily Wire cites an American Life League report on Planned Parenthood that proves PP runs over half of all abortion mills in America.

Jim Sedlak’s Pro-Life Activism from Creation to Death is a weekly talk-radio program on the Radio Maria USA network. The show can be heard live every Friday at noon (Eastern Time) and is repeated on Saturdays (10 PM) and Mondays (10 PM).

Video of the Week – The Rosary Is Not an Option

American Life League is constantly emphasizing the spiritual battle against the evils of our day. Victory over these evils will not be found in Washington, DC, or state governments. It will be found in our homes and at the gates of hell (the property lines of abortion centers). The following homily addresses the absolute necessity of the Rosary.

Unplanned tells the story of former Planned Parenthood director, Abby Johnson. Johnson worked at Planned Parenthood for nine years before seeing an ultrasound-guided abortion that would change her life forever.

Pro-life Social Media – Which Student’s Behavior Costs More in Healthcare?

For our social media pages, we’ve posted a chart comparing the healthcare costs of the chaste with those of the promiscuous.

Thursday was National HIV Testing Day. April is STD Awareness Month. March 4th is HPV Awareness Day. Planned Parenthood devotes a lot of resources to these national observances of healthcare services. Notice what they all have in common? They’re not necessary for anyone who understands God’s design for sex. In other words, when sex remains within the covenant of marriage, Planned Parenthood’s services are irrelevant. In fact, Planned Parenthood couldn’t exist without teens and young adults engaging in unmarried sexual activity.

For our social media, pages we’ve posted a chart comparing the healthcare costs of the chaste with those of the promiscuous.
