Pro-Life This Week – March 18, 2022

Week in ReviewDiocese of Culiacán Enforces Canon 915 on Pro-Abortion Politicians; Arkansas City Declares It’s a ‘Pro-Life City’

Strong Catholic leadership is coming out of the Diocese of Culiacán in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.

After Sinaloa voted to legalize abortion up to 13 weeks, the Diocese announced that Catholic politicians who voted in favor of the law will not be able to receive the Eucharist or be godparents.

According to the National Catholic Register, Father Miguel Ángel Soto Gaxiola, director of the Culiacán Commission for Life, Family, Youth and Laity, made the announcement, citing that the lawmakers are currently in an unworthy state to receive Holy Communion.

Father Soto Gaxiola stated: “In the Magisterium of the Church, the value of life has always and at all times been defended from its conception until its natural death.”

His letter continues to denounce the belief that a person, specifically a lawmaker, can “personally” oppose abortion but continue to vote for and support legislation that allows for the killing of babies.

Father Soto Gaxiola concludes: “Answering the question: Can a deputy or any person who professes to be a Catholic, while openly cooperating or legislating against life, receive Holy Communion? No. You cannot approach Sacramental Communion. Nor that person can be a godparent or companion of other people who want to receive other sacraments such as baptism.”

The Catholic Diocese of Culiacán should serve as an example for American bishops who preside over abortion-supporting Catholics.

In early March, the Arkansas town of Leslie declared that they are officially a pro-life city.

On March 7, the Leslie City Council passed Resolution No. 108, “affirming the commitment of the City of Leslie, Arkansas, to protecting the unalienable right to life of every person; and declaring the City of Leslie, Arkansas, to be a pro-life city.”

According to Life News, last year the Arkansas Legislature passed into law Act 392 of 2021 proposed by Rep. Kendon Underwood (R–Cave Springs) and Sen. Gary Stubblefield (R–Branch). The law affirms that cities and counties can designate themselves as pro-life.

Life News reports that, so far, 18 counties and 10 cities and towns in Arkansas have passed resolutions recognizing preborn children and affirming that they are pro-life.

Video of the Week – Classroom Sex Education is Dangerous; Here’s Why

Florida lawmakers introduced a parental rights bill that supposedly bans public schools from discussing sexuality in grades K-3. Marxist groups went ballistic, branding it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

While keeping K-3 classrooms free from sexual content is a good thing, we remind parents that ANY classroom discussion of sexuality is entirely hazardous to a child’s well-being.

Pro-life Social MediaThe abortion giant’s boss, Alexis McGill Johnson, decided this was a cool idea

Leave it to Planned Parenthood to turn our childhood symbols into a perverse campaign for abortion violence! Remember the familiar sound of the ice cream truck as it approached your house? Planned Parenthood’s ruining that, too.

The abortion giant’s boss, Alexis McGill Johnson, decided this was a cool idea:

A closer look.

It’s no surprise, really. Planned Parenthood has been targeting children for decades—get their attention today so that they can be Planned Parenthood customers tomorrow.

Would it matter if it DID contain ice cream?

Same vibe, yes?
