American Life League Releases Year-in-Review Planned Parenthood Facilities Report

Today, American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood International program released its Planned Parenthood Facilities Report Update: 2025 in Review, highlighting a continued trend of facility closures at the nation’s largest abortion provider. The report reveals that, while Planned Parenthood’s overall network of brick-and-mortar locations has shrunk significantly in recent years, the organization is disproportionately closing non-abortion facilities, effectively shedding what it views as unprofitable “dead weight” to sharpen its focus on abortion services, which remain its core revenue driver.

The facilities report update documents a net decline in Planned Parenthood’s physical facilities, dropping from 567 in 2021 to just under 500 by early 2026, with over 70 permanent closures since 2022 alone. Notably, the percentage of facilities offering abortions has risen to around 76%, up from about 69% in 2021. This shift indicates that non-abortion sites—those providing only general health “services” like STI testing or contraception without abortions—are being shuttered at a higher rate, allowing Planned Parenthood to consolidate resources around its most lucrative operations.

Key findings from the report include the following:

  • Total Facilities: As of January 2026, Planned Parenthood operates 488 physical facilities nationwide, down from 516 in mid-2025 due to additional closures in late 2025 and early 2026.
  • Abortion Focus: An estimated 372 facilities now offer abortions via surgical procedures and/or pills, representing 76% of the total network. Surgical abortion sites have dipped slightly from 176 in 2021 to 163, while pill-only abortion sites hold steady at 210.
  • Closures Breakdown: Of the 70+ closures since 2022, a majority targeted non-abortion facilities. For instance, between 2022 and 2025, 95 sites closed permanently, with the net loss disproportionately affecting non-abortion locations, increasing the abortion facility percentage over time. Early 2026 has already seen at least three more closures, including one permanent shutdown in Missouri and temporary pauses in Pennsylvania.
  • Shift to Virtual Abortion Access: Amid physical declines, Planned Parenthood has expanded telehealth and app-based abortion pill distribution, now available in over 40 states. This allows the organization to bypass some state restrictions and maintain abortion volume despite fewer in-person sites.

“Planned Parenthood’s strategy is clear: Eliminate low-revenue, non-abortion facilities to streamline operations around abortion, their biggest moneymaker,” Katie Brown Xavios, national director of American Life League, explained. “By shedding this ‘dead weight,’ they’re not retreating. They’re regrouping to push the abortion pill regimen through virtual channels, streamlining abortion on demand.”

“Since our last report in May, Planned Parenthood saw more than half of its closures for the year in just six months,” said Katherine Van Dyke, American Life League’s lead researcher. “However, Planned Parenthood is making up for lost real estate with its strong presence online. Through its telehealth, Direct App, and virtual centers, the abortion giant is seeking to expand preborn child killing online through the abortion pill regimen. Whether directly or through referrals, Planned Parenthood continues its true mission: deadly abortion for its own selfish financial profit.”

The report credits grassroots efforts, including prayer vigils like the Marian Blue Wave and 40 Days for Life, for contributing to these closures. Since 2019, such initiatives have been linked to over 100 Planned Parenthood site shutdowns nationwide.

American Life League calls on lawmakers, communities, and pro-life advocates to intensify efforts to defund Planned Parenthood and to support life-affirming alternatives. Read the entire Planned Parenthood Facilities Report Update: 2025 in Review at all.org/stopp.

American Life League’s Ballot Flyers Educate Catholics on the Evils of Two Upcoming Amendments

As reported in recent issues of PLTW, Virginian Democratic lawmakers proposed and approved two evil amendments that will appear on voter ballots this November. The first of these would permit the expansion of preborn child murder through contraception and abortion, as well as codify these as “constitutional rights.” Under the false title of a “right to reproductive freedom,” this amendment would legalize abortion through the third trimester—in other words, abortion on demand. This would also open the door to other evils, such as infanticide and partial-birth abortion.

Virginians will also vote on a constitutional amendment that seeks to redefine marriage as occurring between two consenting adults rather than as a covenant between one man and one woman, as God ordained. This redefinition not only applies to same-sex couples but also recognizes marriage as legal between those who claim to be transgender. Additionally, the amendment’s ambiguous language could force Christian schools and businesses to face legal action if they do not recognize these “marriages.”

In response to these two amendments, which directly attack the vulnerable preborn person and the family, American Life League has created ballot information flyers for Catholics regarding what these amendments are proposing and why we must vote NO on them.

Using scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and Church documents, ALL has thoroughly researched the Church’s teaching on the importance of protecting life and family and included these teachings in our flyers. Additionally, ALL has contacted Virginia’s Catholic bishops to offer our free flyers as resources to the dioceses, and we have said that we would speak at any parish that wants to know more.

If you live in Virginia or have family and friends who do, we encourage you to share these ballot information flyers with your community and spread the word about why these amendments must be defeated in November. All ballot flyers are free and available for download on our website.

Please visit our site regularly, as we will continually upload new flyers for other states that are facing threats from the culture of death on their ballots.

VIDEO: Episcopalian Pastor Tells Congregation She’s Sad Her Grandchildren Won’t Be Killed

Imagine attending a Christian service and the presider announces she’s going to preach on “reproductive rights.” That’s how you know you’re in the presence of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The decision to terminate a pregnancy can be a moral and loving decision for yourself and for your family. You should not be made to feel shame.

If St. Paul rose out of his grave and rebuked this minister, no doubt she would call him anti-woman and cease preaching his divinely inspired letters to her congregation.

“Thou shalt not kill . . . most of the time” is not the Fifth Commandment.

What are the odds that Psalm 127 is never heard in this house of worship?
