Pro-life leaders support South Dakota abortion ban

"The entire nation owes a debt of gratitude to the state of South Dakota," said Jim Sedlak, vice-president of American Life League, the nation's largest, grassroots pro-life organization. "The passage of HR 1215 is a monumental step toward ending abortion in this country and protecting all innocent human beings – born and preborn."

Both Sedlak and David Bereit, executive director of American Life League, will be in Sioux Falls on Sunday, March 19 and in Pierre on Monday, March 20, meeting with those who worked tirelessly for the bill's passage. "We want the lawmakers and citizens of South Dakota to know that the entire nation has taken notice of their great work," said Sedlak. "Working at the national level in the pro-life movement affords us the opportunity to interact with people all across the country. We are ecstatic to be in South Dakota to commend this latest achievement and to encourage pro-lifers in their continued efforts on behalf of the preborn."

An ad thanking South Dakota's elected officials appears in Monday's Pierre Capital Journal.
