Chicago event features new ad, pro-life student walkers

American Life League’s Crusade for Defense of our Catholic Church will hold a media event on Thursday, June 16, in front of the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago, the site of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops’ spring meeting.

American Life League will unveil its latest ad, which encourages a well-known Illinois senator to either recant his support of abortion or cease claiming Catholicism as his faith. The press event will also highlight the efforts of an American Life League-sponsored group of student pro-life activists who are walking over 1,100 miles across the Great Lakes region proclaiming the truth that you can’t be Catholic and pro-abortion.

“The effort of these dedicated college students to educate the Catholic faithful and challenge ill-informed Catholics to return to full communion with the Church is proving extremely successful again and again,” said Joseph Starrs, director of American Life League’s Crusade for the Defense of Our Catholic Church. “Thus far they have had positive meetings with Catholic bishops and have had success in meeting with representatives of pro-abortion Catholic political figures as well.”

Starrs said the young people are “excited about their faith and are truly helping to build a Culture of Life.” American Life League’s full-page ad is scheduled to run in Thursday’s edition of the Chicago Sun-Times.
