ALL Report Shows Planned Parenthood Closed 32 Facilities in 2017

Embattled Abortion Giant Wilting Under Pro-Life Pressure
Washington, DC — American Life League released its annual Planned Parenthood Facilities Report today showing that Planned Parenthood closed 32 of its facilities in 2017. Nearly 60 percent (356) of Planned Parenthood’s 597 facilities commit medical or surgical abortions. Planned Parenthood operates almost half (48.8 percent) of the abortion centers in the United States.

Jim Sedlak, executive director of American Life League, stated: “The continuing decline of Planned Parenthood facilities belies its public relations hype. The evidence is clear: The American people are fed up with Planned Parenthood. The revelations about its business model and its callous disregard for the lives of human beings are taking their toll on the organization’s acceptance.”

American Life League’s STOPP International program began a major push to close Planned Parenthood facilities in 1993. As a result of its efforts, and with the help of other pro-life organizations, the abortion giant has fallen from 938 facilities at its peak in 1995 to just 597 facilities by the end of 2017.

“While the numbers continue to show an organization in decline,” Sedlak continued, “we do not expect it to go quietly into the night. We expect that Planned Parenthood’s leaders, along with its bought-and-paid-for politicians, will continue to spread the lies and demand the American people pay tribute to this satanic organization. But, in the end, it will lose. The mounting evidence of Planned Parenthood’s decline gives us renewed optimism that the end of the organization may happen sooner than our most optimistic estimates of just two years ago.”
