Abortion politics in Catholic Church in new book

Judie Brown, president and co-founder of American Life League, has released a new book spotlighting the tragic politics of abortion being waged by wayward members of the Catholic faith.

Saving Those Damned Catholics provides an eye-opening account of the connections between dissent and current trends among many Catholics today. The numbers are startling and the result has been millions of preborn children lost under the mantra of "choice."

Through the use of personal stories, Brown tracks the problems that began in the 1960s when some Catholic theologians chose to support the use of birth control, despite the Church's stance against it. She then examines and profiles several misguided Catholics who have betrayed the Church's teachings on abortion, contraception, euthanasia and human embryonic stem cell research.

Judie Brown is one of the most prolific contemporary Catholic writers, providing commentary and analysis from the perspective of Church doctrine. Saving Those Damned Catholics is her sixth book. Named as one of the Top 100 Catholics of the Twentieth Century, Judie is serving her second five-year term as a member of the Pontifical Academy of Life. Her expertise in defending pro-life arguments within the framework of Catholic teaching is well-known and may be read at Eternal Word Television Network's web forum, and elsewhere. As the Daily Catholic put it, "God has chosen Judie for this unimaginably difficult assignment."
