The Family, the Devil, and You

American Life League unveiled its Defend the Family campaign yesterday. Initial response has been encouraging, but the question remains: Why did ALL do this at this time?

There is no time like the present to shine a bright light on the evils perpetrated by Planned Parenthood and its loathing of the Catholic Church. The examples of its treachery are legion. Just to mention one, Planned Parenthood’s “Bar Nun Bingo” event this past April got the attention of Steven Ertelt, who reported,

Planned Parenthood has a long history of Catholic bashing. Its founder, Margaret Sanger, was both a racist and an anti-Catholic. In 1987, it trashed Mother Teresa, calling her an “old and withered person, who doesn’t look the least like a woman.” In 1994, it mocked the Eucharist at the Monmouth County Fair in New Jersey. In 1995, it blamed New York Archbishop John Cardinal O’Connor for the killing of an abortion doctor in Brookline, Massachusetts. In 1998, its opposition to school vouchers led it to brand the Catholic Church an “extremist” group on Long Island.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation brought attention to Planned Parenthood founder, Margaret Sanger, explaining that Sanger’s conflicts with the Catholic Church were part of what drove her to defy God Himself and do anything she could to market contraception—even if the repercussions included spending time in jail.

In the wake of the Hobby Lobby Supreme Court decision, the FFRF ran a full page ad in the New York Times featuring none other than poster gal Margaret Sanger.

Clearly there is a war being waged against the Catholic Church by Planned Parenthood and its allies. The reason: The Church stands solidly against the dangerous contraception/abortion marketing that Planned Parenthood engages in daily.

American Life League recognizes it is time to tell the whole story, to engage the public, to activate parents so that they are armed to defend their rights as parents and to protect their children from such evils.

The Defend the Family campaign is being launched precisely to expose to the Holy Father, to Catholic hierarchy, and to the general population the ways in which we can effectively thwart Planned Parenthood’s evil ways. “The Defend the Family campaign is centered around a report entitled The Vatican Can Help Save Souls from Planned Parenthood in 2014. HERE’S HOW! The report, which has been translated into Spanish, Italian, and French, builds a case that an official declaration from the Vatican that Planned Parenthood is an enemy of the Church would be a powerful way to defend families.”

Some have argued that ours is an impossible task, but the truth of the matter is that nothing is impossible for God. This battle is worth the effort, and the enemy must be engaged and exposed by the Church because souls are being lost every single day to a cultural philosophy steeped in sexual indoctrination.

One Catholic bishop explained it this way: “Americans need to know that Planned Parenthood still bases its philosophy and principles on its founder, Margaret Sanger, who called Christianity ‘parasitic’ and looked forward to the day when humanity would be freed from its tyranny.”

This is the reason we are driven to pursue this campaign, and to ask concerned Christians to join us. Every caring person across this nation needs to read, to understand, and then share and support our public effort to respectfully ask Pope Francis to declare Planned Parenthood an enemy of the Church. The situation is critical; the time is now.

Contrary to what Margaret Sanger believed, God is not dead! He is alive; He is our strength; He is our Father. May He help us defend the souls and the lives of his precious children and their families.
