What a joy it was to read a news story about a Catholic bishop taking a stand against the Culture of Death! Just yesterday Bishop William Weigand of Sacramento dismissed a Catholic high school teacher because a parent of one of the students presented him with a photo of the teacher escorting clients into Planned Parenthood.
For those who do not remember, Bishop Weigand is the shepherd who became the first to focus attention on why pro-abortion Catholic public figures should not receive the body and blood of Christ in Holy Communion.
We commend Bishop Weigand for setting an example in a culture that is far too frequently only concerned with tolerating evil rather than facing it head on and exposing it.
