Obama Speaketh with Forked Tongue

President Barack Obama is among the most threatening individuals to have walked this earth in many a year. And his right-hand man, pro-abortion Catholic Joseph Biden, is no better. In June, during a visit to Kenya, Biden offered the Kenyan nation financial incentives if it would approve a new constitution containing abortion on demand.

Biden made it clear that both he and President Obama were “hopeful” that the pro-abortion document would receive a majority vote. Suggesting that pro-life opposition to the proposed constitution was “one of the drawbacks of democracy,” Biden said that nobody should confuse that opposition with the position of the U.S. president, U.S. vice president and U.S. government.

Thus, as soon as the votes were counted and the results were in, Obama was quick to applaud the passage of the constitution, saying in a prepared statement that the electoral process was “credible” and “transparent.” Obama tied himself and his administration to the Biden visit, stating, “My Administration has been pleased to support Kenya’s democratic development and the Kenyan people, including through the visit of Vice President Biden earlier this year.”

Though Obama claims that the new constitution will provide “greater stability” and “increased prosperity” to the nation, one is left wondering how morally stable and ethically prosperous a nation that condones the direct murder of the preborn can be. The United States government knows the answer—which is why it continues to extol the virtues of abortion, sex education, euthanasia and all manner of perversions.

Let the record show, once again, that the president of the United States just can’t help being dedicated to the culture of death.

And as Human Life International’s Joseph Meaney so insightfully opined,

The wording of the new constitution retains part of this strong pro-life language: “Every person has the right to life. The life of a person begins at conception.” Yet in another demonstration of the deception employed regularly by pro-abortion elites, an unelected international committee of “experts” added the following in Article 26: “Abortion is not permitted unless, in the opinion of a trained health professional, there is need for emergency treatment, or the life or health of the mother is in danger, or if permitted by any other law.”

That’s right. Abortion is now constitutionally legal whenever the pregnancy may affect the health of the mother, whenever any “health professional” deems it necessary, or whenever any law at all says it is legal. This language in the new constitution essentially opens up the floodgates on abortion for this pro-life country.

Immediately after the vote became public, American Life League issued a call to prayer for Kenyan people, saying, “Part of the discussion prior to the vote on Thursday was that amendments to the constitution will be allowed immediately. It is our hope and prayer that the legislators in Kenya will seize this opportunity to correct the injustice and pass amendments that will ensure the right to life of every person from his or her point of creation.”

Further, American Life League’s congressional liaison, Johanna Dasteel, poignantly noted, “My cousin, Father John Kaiser, was assassinated by the Kenyan government in 2000 for supporting the rights of Kenya’s marginalized poor. He loved the Kenyan people and was martyred while trying to protect them and advocate on their behalf in the face of a violent, corrupt and greedy government.”

Now that abortion rights have been woven into the country’s constitution, we pray for Kaiser’s intercession as the amendment process moves forward. And we pray for the enlightenment of President Obama and his cohorts. Dangling the money carrot before a poor nation and its people, while doing everything possible to assure full accessibility to killing that nation’s progeny, is hypocritical, to say the least. It is also precisely what Obama and his sidekick did.

But that’s what men with forked tongues do.
