“I” Is for Murder

By Judie Brown

Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Catholic Speaker of the House of Representatives, says she really doesn’t know what the Democratic governor of Virginia had to say about infanticide.

We thought everyone knew that Governor Ralph Northam unapologetically defended killing born babies when he talked about late-term abortions and told WTOP that they are

done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that’s not viable. So in this particular example, if a mother’s in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.

But Pelosi is not alone. The president of Planned Parenthood, Leana Wen, tweeted that she wanted folks to know that “there is no such thing as infanticide in medical care—I can tell you, as a doctor, that it doesn’t happen and it is already illegal.”

Well, ladies and gentlemen, the problem with this line of thinking—or absence thereof—is that it is deceptive and outrageously ignorant.

To begin, infanticide in the United States does happen and is legal. In fact, in January of this year “Democrats in New York legalized third trimester abortions, allowing women to abort a fully formed, viable and healthy infant for any reason virtually up to the point of birth. Women need only claim that their health, which includes the catchall of emotional and mental health, is at risk. Further, she can have her infant, who can survive outside the womb and must be delivered anyway, murdered by lethal injection to the skull.”

That is infanticide. It is murder in the same way that any direct abortion is murder. A human being dies. Who doesn’t get that?

Apparently, the Democrats in the House of Representatives collectively do not get that, as they have, on four separate occasions recently, blocked a vote on a proposed law that would have ended infanticide. The proposal was called the “Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” and the dim Dems oppose it!

Congressman Mark Walker wrote about this, pointing out that the Democrats in the House do not want to go on record on this proposal, and in fact have already made clear their intentions to protect such acts. According to Mark:

Our new Congress—comprised of the most pro-abortion majority in history and led by Nancy Pelosi—wants to deny the rights of children and the unborn. On day one, the new Democratic majority passed a bill to force taxpayer dollars to fund abortions in foreign countries. Their legislation would also have given $37.5 million to the United Nations Population Fund, which supports wide-scale, coercive abortions, involuntary sterilization, and unjust eugenic programs around the world. . . . These positions are radical and out of touch with what we know to be true and right as Americans.

But what this recent spate of proposals at the state and federal level teach us is far more serious than a political party supporting direct acts of killing the innocent. It is a signal that barbarism has become politically popular, that the bloodthirsty know no bounds, and that inhumane acts are being mainstreamed in this nation. All this in the name of freedom of choice!

As we turn to the Lord and His Blessed Mother in these times of evil, we understand that it is too late to nuance our words when talking about the rights of the innocent. The devil has too many slaves who will say anything to protect their ghoulish ways.

But we say, plainly, that murder is murder, no matter what Wen, Pelosi, Northam, Cuomo, or any of them say.

“I” is for murder! “I” IS murder! And, whether we are talking about infanticide, abortion, or any deadly crime against the innocent, murder offends God. It is evil, it is a sin, and our challenge is to expose it at every turn.
