Silence and seclusion are the soul of great things. So long as a work stays hidden, unknown to the world it grows in security: but as soon as the devil discovers it and makes it known to the world, he inveighs against it and combats it with all his might. So it is with us, we must remain hidden from the world otherwise the demon of self-love will destroy us.
