(April 7, 2026 – Fredericksburg, Virginia) American Life League is disheartened to see that abortion numbers and taxpayer funding continue to rise for Planned Parenthood, as the abortion organization shared in its latest annual report over the Easter weekend.
Last year, Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion organization in the country, released its annual report the day after Mother’s Day. This year, it quietly released its report with its increased funding from the government and rising abortion numbers during the holiest weekend of the year for Christians.
In its 2024–2025 annual report, Care Continues, Planned Parenthood resolves to fight against any “attacks” it faces from the current presidential administration. Yet the report shows a 5% increase in taxpayer funding from the prior year, totaling a whopping $832 million in government grants and reimbursements in 2025.
A review of Planned Parenthood’s numbers shows that its income increased and only nine of its 22 “services” saw a decline. Abortion was certainly not on the decline, however, as Planned Parenthood reported that it committed 434,450 abortions in 2025—an 8% increase from last year’s number of 402,230. The organization still does not confirm if these numbers include pill abortions, which could increase the total number of deaths by thousands.
Hugh Brown, American Life League’s vice president, commented on the rising number of abortions and how it correlates to the increase in Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer revenue.
“Planned Parenthood’s reign of death and destruction increased in 2025. And despite its cries that our tax dollars were taken from it, the organization actually received a record amount of government funding last year. How? Because the government is a liar, and abortion is the unholy grail that Planned Parenthood and the US government worship,” Brown stated. “The work of American Life League has never been more needed or important. The deceivers and the killers of children are unchecked, and they must be stopped.”
Planned Parenthood proudly admits that its telehealth services went up 126% from 2024 to 2025, with 320,390 telehealth appointments and another 62,000 appointments scheduled through its virtual centers. The organization also boasted that mothers in nearly half of the states in the US were able to obtain abortion pills through these telehealth appointments.
American Life League researcher Katherine Van Dyke says this transition from in-person to virtual is nothing new for Planned Parenthood.
“American Life League has been drawing attention to Planned Parenthood’s efforts to commit abortions over the internet for nearly two decades now,” she said.
Jim Sedlak, American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood (STOPP) program’s late director, reported that Planned Parenthood committed its first telehealth abortion in 2008, a trend that has continued to surge throughout its affiliates, especially following the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020.
“Unfortunately, we expect these numbers to increase as more facilities close and more money can be utilized to provide abortion pills and contraceptive drugs through the mailing system,” Van Dyke said. “This is all part of Planned Parenthood’s deadly strategy.”
American Life League president, Judie Brown, said that Planned Parenthood’s annual report reminded her of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic, “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”
“Hidden beneath the glass and the numbers is the actual truth that Planned Parenthood detests families as God designs them,” she said. “It works tirelessly to market evil and promote it under the guise of ‘healthcare.’ In short, we cannot believe a word it writes. Shame on Planned Parenthood!”
American Life League is the parent organization of Stop Planned Parenthood (STOPP), a national organization dedicated solely to the closing of all Planned Parenthood facilities.
