Washington, DC (3 February 2011) – “It is gratifying to see the hard work of one of our Associate groups rewarded with a victory,” said Rita Diller, national director of American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood International (STOPP) project.
Diller is referring to the breaking news that a major corporate supporter of Planned Parenthood’s affiliate in Waco, Texas, has announced that it will no longer support Planned Parenthood. An officer with the Central National Bank of Waco made the announcement in an e-mail to a Waco pro-life attorney in which he stated, “We are not going to support them [Planned Parenthood Waco] financially or otherwise in the future.”
The Associate group, Pro-Life Waco, has been fighting Planned Parenthood for many years and, on July 21, 2010, launched a campaign specifically designed to convince CNB to end its support of Planned Parenthood. In the campaign, Pro-Life Waco exposed not only Planned Parenthood’s abortion record, but also the ways that Planned Parenthood at all levels promotes sexual promiscuity.
“It took all of six months,” said Diller, “but the result was a true victory for John Pisciotta and all the faithful members of Pro-Life Waco.”
American Life League included the full story of the victory in Waco in this week’s Wednesday STOPP Report, which can be viewed at http://www.stopp.org/article.php?id=8593.
“The truth about Planned Parenthood is being made public on a daily basis and even longtime corporate supporters of the organization are backing away.” Diller concluded, “We look forward to the day when not only corporations but our own government will stop giving money to Planned Parenthood.”
