It is hard to imagine that, in America, thousands of children are killed before birth every single year and nobody seems to care! The mainstream media has not reported the fact that the greatest terrorism with the most casualties in man’s history is the act of aborting children before they are born.
In a recent interview, Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, claimed that Planned Parenthood has been the “victim” of fake news, though she preferred not to reference what she meant, saying she wanted to stay “positive”! Perhaps it had not occurred to you, as it surely had not occurred to me, that the baby killing multi-million-dollar business Richards runs could ever be “positive” in the first place. Clearly she is the fake-news purveyor, but her blathering is not the point.
We know where Richards stands. But what we do not know, cannot explain, and have not seen are the courageous public figures who should be standing up and exposing this evil. Where are the well-known folks who could speak of this unreported terrorism that kills babies, maims mothers, and destroys families as it rips away the fabric of American society, one human baby at a time?
It is rare these days to hear anyone repeat what Mother Teresa so boldly said at the 1994 National Prayer Breakfast: “The greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?”
And yet, as Sir Walter Scott once wrote, “Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.”
In America, that web is woven by the leaders of the culture of death and advanced by a media determined to ignore truth in deference to the evil in our midst. This web is so deadly that it has ensnared more than 58 million preborn babies who have died by surgical means. And that estimated number does not include those killed by chemicals and in in vitro fertilization laboratories.
No wonder virtually thousands upon thousands of people of all ages believe that abortion is not really an act of killing, but nothing more than a personal decision. The death cartel is riding the wave of apathy fueled by the drip, drip, drip of innocent blood.
That is the way the devil works.
Pro-abortion author Margaret Atwood claims that a simple restriction on abortion is a form of slavery for those expectant mothers affected by such laws. When she compares legal limits on child killing to female enslavement, nobody bats an eye because Atwood—a willing voice for the abortion cartel—is creating a fake narrative that feeds the child killing machine and helps move it forward.
Abortion is killing our national conscience. These millions of our dead brothers and sisters are not mourned in the public square, and the reality of their humanity is repeatedly denied and ignored.
That is the way the devil works.
Such atrocities—real terrorism within our borders—reminds us of the frank teaching of the Catholic Church on the question of sin: “The root of sin is in the heart of man, in his free will, according to the teaching of the Lord: ‘For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a man.’ But in the heart also resides charity, the source of the good and pure works, which sin wounds.”
The only way to offset the horrors of the terrorism of abortion—the devil’s tool in his quest to destroy souls—is to talk about it, educate others, and never stop demanding that the truth be told.
Abortion is the ultimate terrorism. There’s no question about it.
