Planned Parenthood in Houston planning to open the largest free standing abortion facility in the U.S.

Planned Parenthood violates all three of the "non-negotiable"

In March of 2006, Pope Benedict XVI described three non-negotiable principles with regards to the protection and promotion of the dignity of the human person. Planned Parenthood violates all three non-negotiable principles.

These are:

1. Protection of life in all its stages, from the first moment of conception until natural death.

2. Recognition and promotion of the natural structure of the family—as a union between a man and a woman based on marriage—and its defence from attempts to make it juridically equivalent to radically different forms of union which in reality harm it and contribute to its destabilization, obscuring its particular character and its irreplaceable social role.

3. The protection of the right of parents to educate their children.

Planned Parenthood violates all of these principles in many ways. First, it does NOT protect all human beings. It harms women with chemicals and murders innocent children through chemical, medical, and surgical abortions. Planned Parenthood also advertises sex and other types of sexual activity to children as young as ten and continues to spread the lies and deception of living a "healthy lifestyle" by promoting its birth control products and abortions to people of all ages. And finally, Planned Parenthood does not protect the right of parents to educate their children on the true meaning of sex and the beauty of life. It attempts to take this right away from parents across the country through its numerous "medically accurate sex education" programs.

National Condom Day

Tomorrow, February 14th is Valentine's Day. For millions of Americans this is a day of love and is celebrated with purchasing roses and chocolates.

It may not surprise you that Planned Parenthood would take a day such as Valentine's Day, a day of love, and use it to push its own birth control products, abortions, and perverted agenda. It is doing this by calling this day "National Condom Day." It is very sad to take a day of love and romance and turn it in a way in which it can promote its own disgusting ulterior motive to make money.

Planned Parenthood of Indiana is promoting this day by holding a "Safe Sex in the City event" on February 14th from 8 pm - midnight at 2145 North Talbott St., Indianapolis, IN. It also has set up a web page dedicated solely to this topic including the statement, "Condoms make you more attractive."

Planned Parenthood of Arizona started this week off with a "condom picnic" and on Valentine's Day, it will be passing out "condom bouquets" (packages of condoms arranged to look like flowers) to local supporters.

Planned Parenthood in New York state plans to pass out "Safer Sex Kits" at several colleges throughout this month. Some of Planned Parenthood's stops will be at Utica College on Feb. 14th from 11 am-2 pm at Donovan Hall, Adirondack Community on Feb. 14th from 9 am to 3 pm, Union College from 10 am to 3 pm at Reamer Campus Center, and SCCC on Feb. 20th and 25th from 9 am to 1 pm.

Be on the look out for Planned Parenthood affiliates and VOX groups that will be promoting this day with different events, activities and "information." If you see announcements or articles online, please post comments and educate people on the truth behind this organization. Also, try to attend any of these events and protest.

The following is an opinion piece written by James R. Henderson in the Huntsville Times, a newspaper out of Alabama.

Planned Parenthood's denial in the Jan. 19 Times that we helped force the closing of its Huntsville abortion mill by exposing its doctor is like putting perfume on a pig.

The clinic spokesman told the Times it was closed to concentrate on the "prevention" of pregnancy. The State Health Department told me Planned Parenthood said it was being closed because the clinic was having trouble keeping a local admitting-privilege doctor—which was because we would picket his medical practice.

Within a week after we began our protest, he brought us a copy of his resignation letter just to stop the embarrassment.

We then reported to the State Health Department that Planned Parenthood didn't have a local doctor with admitting privileges. Eventually, the clinic turned in its Huntsville license.

Planned Parenthood has two other abortion clinics in Alabama ... It would be another nice "gesture" if the other Planned Parenthood abortion clinics were closed to concentrate on "prevention," but that's not who this organization is. Its founder was involved in eugenics and its organization has a philosophy of using abortion to destroy minorities and other "undesirables."

It seems to be succeeding. A major share of the 11,400 abortions Planned Parenthood did in Alabama last year was done on African-American babies. Too bad but with the massive federal funding it gets every year, Planned Parenthood is not likely to stop anytime soon.

But a pig is still a pig.

Five PP affiliates will merge into one

Planned Parenthood has announced that five of its affiliates in Illinois will merge into a new affiliate, "Planned Parenthood of Illinois." This results in reducing the total number to 103 Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country. The merger has affected 14 of Planned Parenthood's clinics.Affiliates merge as a way to reduce operating costs by combining high-level positions. In this case, Judith Barringer, chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood Springfield Area will resign as of March 1st and Steve Trombley, CEO of the Chicago-area affiliate, will become the chief executive of the new Planned Parenthood of Illinois affiliate.

Pro-lifer educating couples and a PP employee

We received the following report from Michelle, who is an active protester outside of the PP in Farmington, New Mexico. She submitted it through ALL's Map Room: Activism Against Planned Parenthood web site.

While standing outside of this PP, several people stopped and talked with me about why they like PP. I was able to give them information with the truth! Two of the people changed their minds and said they wouldn't give them money anymore. One couple said that PP didn't tell them that the EC pill could kill a baby. They took the EC pill and now they wish they hadn't. They have been trying to get pregnant and said, "What if that was the only chance at having a baby and we just flushed it away." I did tell them that they may have not been pregnant and not to be so hard on themselves. I sent them to the pregnancy crisis center. Normally I'm by myself on the sidewalk. I hold a sign and I always have information on me to hand out. I was able on one Tues. to give the nurse there some information. She took it—I couldn't believe it! I pray for her a lot. They have hired two new nurses. Please, come out and stand with me if you're in the area. I normally stand out there from 12:30-1:30 now that it's cold. I pick thoses hours because the nurse leaves at 1 pm and she sees me.
