Planned Parenthood raising funds to improve technology
Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties is holding a fundraiser on May 30, 2008 at Shady Canyon in Irvine, California. This fundraiser, Haute Wired 2008: White Haute, is an attempt to raise money for its Text Messaging Hotline. According to Planned Parenthood, this hotline will allow "users to text their sexual health questions to our Health Educators and receive immediate answers."
Other programs that Planned Parenthood has been working on are its online chat web site and its Toll Free Hotline (1-877-4ME-2ASK). Planned Parenthood states, that if people donate money, it would help its Text Messaging Hotline to be open "24 hours a day so that teens can get any question answered—anytime, anywhere." Planned Parenthood continues, "You can try out this new program by texting a sexual health question to 6-1-8-2-7." Prices for the fundraiser range from $175 to $10,000.
What can you do? First of all, try texting Planned Parenthood yourself. Many people question the kind of answers that Planned Parenthood provides teens and we suggest that all of our readers text a question to PP and see what type of answer you receive.
Also, start raising awareness of the "truth" behind Planned Parenthood and its hidden agenda. Here are some action items:
- Hold discussion groups and start rallying the pro-life troops
- Begin protests outside of Planned Parenthood and Shady Canyon
- Pass out flyers about the perils of birth control
- Submit letters to newspaper editors
- E-mail your friends, notify the schools, etc.

PP targets young women with new condoms
As part of its sexual agenda and marketing schemes, Planned Parenthood has come out with a new tactic to promote living an unchaste and sexual lifestyle. The name of its new scheme is a line of condoms for young women called PROPER ATTIRE™: Required for Entry.
Planned Parenthood is trying to come up with different ways to sell its birth control and condoms, even though a Consumer’s Report study rated Planned Parenthood’s condoms "poor" and dead last on the list. According to Planned Parenthood, "PROPER ATTIRE™ is making a lifestyle statement with the premiere of the new and stylish condom that is being called the ‘must-have’ fashion accessory."
Planned Parenthood is now twisting its "sexual health" messages into a fashion accessory; any way to entice teens to have sex. Be on the alert for more of these messages especially as we are approaching Valentine’s Day. Do everything you can do to help educate our young people about the truth and beauty of chastity.
Online: 2007 Survey of Planned Parenthood Facilities
On January 16, 2008, we reported to you on the American Life League’s Annual Survey of Planned Parenthood Facilities for 2007. We gave you a summary of what we had unveiled on the exact locations of each Planned Parenthood facility across the country.
Our full version of this survey is now available online. Here you will have a better understanding of not only where each Planned Parenthood facility is located (you can also view our MAP), but also, what is going on at each of these clinics with a little history of the rise and decline of Planned Parenthood clinics and affiliates. The report is full of graphs, text and numbers. Feel free to make copies and pass it along to your friends.
Student isn’t sold by PP coupon scheme
Below is an excerpt from an article by Mike Hathaway, a senior at Arizona University and he creates a very interesting perspective on Planned Parenthood’s advertising techniques. To read the full version, click here.
A going-out-of-pregnancy sale?
The beginning of each new semester is heralded by a glut of "College Coupons" books.
In the wake of the spring 2008 coupon bonanza, you may have noticed an unusually valuable coupon, a bit behind the brow-wax offer and in front of the Blackjack Pizza ad.
The coupon is good for $10 off any purchase of products or services of $25 or more ... at Planned Parenthood Arizona. Seems to be some heavy content for a two-by-four inch coupon…
The coupon claims that PPAZ is "a comfortable place to go for honest information and compassionate care." Sounds like an organization that wants all people, regardless of income or class, to have the opportunity (or the "choice") to access Planned Parenthood's goods and services. Why, then, must PPAZ's product be discounted in the first place? Sure, zany places like Whipped can get away with heaving, obscene markups on cupcakes, but a healthcare provider marking up services enough to subsequently discount them? By giving a coupon, PPAZ implicitly acknowledges its profit making potential within the bounds of its non-profit status (which doesn't prohibit profit, but mandates that profit stay within the organization)…
This is yet another example of how Planned Parenthood is using desperate measures to exploit our teens and lure them in to its clinics. Planned Parenthood has also pushed programs such as "Tell-a-Friend" in which Planned Parenthood offers coupons, free movie tickets, iPods, and even cash to teens that refer their friends or siblings to buy its products. But pro-lifers are winning this battle as more young people are standing up for life and speaking out against Planned Parenthood and its sick propaganda.
To learn more about these programs and other schemes Planned Parenthood uses to try to brainwash young people, watch Marie Hahnenberg’s talk on Planned Parenthood: Lies, Deceit and Sex.
Thank you for your patience!
You may have noticed several format changes in the WSR over the last few weeks. ALL is updating its technology and going through a number of changes as we find a format that works with all e-mail systems.
Planned Parenthood in Arizona sees pro-life vigils at 12 locations
Today starts the national 40 Days for Life campaign. With the national leader, David Bereit, and all the participants at the local level, these pro-lifers are striving to save lives and hold prayerful vigils throughout these 40 days. This spring campaign will end on March 16, 2008.
It’s not too late to participate—you can begin a prayerful vigil at an abortion clinic in your town. At least 35 of the 59 official prayer vigils are being held outside of Planned Parenthood facilities. To find these locations, visit our ALL Map Room and click on the state you are looking for.
We thank pro-lifers in Arizona for covering 12 of the 20 Planned Parenthood locations in that state during these 40 days.
God bless all of the participants at all locations across the country.
PP facilities close in Illinois and Idaho
The first month of 2008 has already brought successful news in the fight against Planned Parenthood! We are happy to report that Planned Parenthood has closed three clinics and has also merged affiliates!
The three clinic locations include an express clinic in Nampa, Idaho, an express clinic in Naperville, Illinois, and a non-express clinic in Lincoln, Illinois.
At the express clinic in Naperville we learned that there was pro-life witnessing outside of this PP location! Way to go STOPPers!
According to Planned Parenthood, the clinic in Lincoln closed its doors due to lack of funds.
The affiliate merger happened in Kentucky. Planned Parenthood of Blue Grass and Planned Parenthood of Louisville have merged into Planned Parenthood of Kentucky which gives Planned Parenthood a total of 107 affiliates. This is a loss of one affiliate so far in 2008.
Remember: Planned Parenthood needs money to run its clinics. Take your tax dollars away from Planned Parenthood by signing the www.StopPlannnedParenthoodTaxFunding.com petition.
