Planned Parenthood holds service to "bless" its killing center
On January 22, while pro-life Americans were mourning the death of over 48 million babies since 1973, Planned Parenthood in Schenectady, New York was having clergy bless its new abortion facility.
You read that right.
The definition of "bless" is: "to make happy, to consecrate, an invocation of happiness." There is nothing about a Planned Parenthood clinic or abortion center that makes anyone happy--not the misguided women; surely not the aborted babies; not the Planned Parenthood staff workers; not the abortionists and, rest assured, God is not happy with anything going on at Planned Parenthood.
First, Planned Parenthood gets the definition of pregnancy changed to fit its pocketbook purposes. Now it's attacking the definition of "blessing" to fit its public image that's fading.
The Albany Times Union further reported that in a ceremony called "On Sacred Ground," the Rev. Larry Phillips of Schenectady's Emmanuel-Friedens Church declared the ground "sacred and holy... where women's voices and stories are welcomed, valued and affirmed; sacred ground where women are treated with dignity, supported in their role as moral decision-makers... sacred ground where the violent voices of hatred and oppression are quelled."
The truth is that this Planned Parenthood ground was not declared "sacred and holy" according to God. It was dedicated to the hexes and evils of Satan--a faith or cult without God. A ground wallowing in satanic and demonic vices where preborn babies are heard crying and gasping for air and life. Where women are dying and treated as experimental robots supported in their role as Planned Parenthood money-makers. Where the hard, cold voices of Planned Parenthood staff echo with indifference and apathy. Is this a blessing?
Much more than that, this is a curse they will live with for the rest of their lives. This so-called "sacred ground" will churn and burn for ages to come with the raging souls of the babies and women who trusted their lives to the lies and deceit of Planned Parenthood. This "hood" wants you for all your worth--body and soul.
Planned Parenthood trying to yank pro-life messages off radio
A pro-life campaign named Second Look Project, sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has been running public service radio announcements and printing ads that question the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision which permits abortions during all nine months of pregnancy. Among other details, the announcements reveal how early a baby's heart beats while he/she is in the womb.
How encouraging it is to hear someone talk about children in the womb while asking people to literally take a second look at legal abortion. Hear the commercial and view the print ads at: www.SecondLookProject.org.
But Planned Parenthood isn't happy when people think. Therefore, Planned Parenthood Golden Gate, the same affiliate that is known for advertising sex to our young people through commercials such as the Mile High Club, claims these pro-life messages to be "inaccurate" and accuses them as touting lies.
This is yet another reason why we must fight Planned Parenthood and close its clinics down! Planned Parenthood has been sending out e-mails to encourage people to contact the radio stations that have been playing these ads to remove them immediately.
Take part in the fight. Sign the petition, visit our website, start a protest and get the word out!
Become a Planned Parenthood Tax Status Watch Dog
American Life League is launching a major effort during 2008 to monitor Planned Parenthood's tax status. We will make sure PP follows the IRS rules for tax-exempt organizations. But we need your help!
As tax-exempt organizations, PP affiliates cannot do anything to endorse or oppose political candidates. They are supposed to be strictly educational and non-political. Tax-exempt organizations are forbidden to provide web site links to candidates. But many affiliates and the Planned Parenthood Federation have legally organized political arms. These sister organizations can support candidates.
We need your eyes and ears to help monitor Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country. When we catch the tax-exempt branches violating the law, we will file complaints with the IRS.
If you see any suspicious political activity by PP, please send it to our staff attorney, Andrew Flusche, at AFlusche@ALL.org.
Abstinence works
The following is a letter to the editor written by Christine Martin of Pennsylvania in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. ALL reported in a previous Wednesday STOPP Report what this study actually did say and not what Planned Parenthood claimed it said by twisting the information to the public. It's great to come across letters such as this, from pro-lifers who explain to their community: the truth behind the numbers.
In the Trib's Jan. 20 articles on the continuing controversy over the abortion issue, two very specious statements stood out.
In "Roe v. Wade: 35 years of controversy, divisiveness and protesting," Kimberlee Evert, chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, purports that the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention's indication of a rise in teen birth rates"shows that abstinence doesn't work" and that young people aren't getting comprehensive sex education, putting them at risk for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
First of all, a rise in teen births only indicates that fewer teens are opting to have abortions, not that abstinence education is ineffective.
Second, no actual statistics back this up.
Third, birth control and abortion don't prevent STDs. Abstinence does.
The big problem here for Planned Parenthood is less money in its pockets.
In the second article, "Abortion remains polarizing topic in region," Evert states that "Abstinence education increases the number of abortions because it does not teach birth control."
That's another unsubstantiated assertion with no statistics to back it up. The increase in abortions in Western Pennsylvania could come from an older group of women.
Bottom line: Planned Parenthood loses money because abstinence works, not 100 percent, but better than birth control and abortion. This is a greed-driven issue.
The entire country loses when abortion is legal.
Four lives saved from Planned Parenthood
We received this information from Jim Styer in Sarasota, Florida. Praise God for pro-lifers witnessing outside of Planned Parenthood clinics.
Prayer Walk, Fri., Jan. 18: Another save
We have just learned of another baby saved, this one a week ago, during the 10th annual Prayer Walk around Planned Parenthood in Sarasota.
It was toward the end of the 9 hours of prayer. Around 4:30pm, a sidewalk counselor and another woman were praying together at the entrance drive when a car exited. The female passenger, who already had 3 children, was crying. The counselor thought she had had an abortion and offered a Project Rachel card with info on help for healing after abortion. But the guy said, "We don't need that. We decided not to do it."
The counselor offered a pair of tiny pink booties. The guy's face scrunched up. The counselor said, "Maybe you'd rather have a neutral color." He smiled. She gave him a white pair.
This is the 4th save that we're aware of during the first 4 weeks of January.
