Planned Parenthood uses intimidation tactics on protestors

Texas – A mother and her two young daughters participating in 40 Days for Life experienced intimidation tactics outside the Planned Parenthood in Lufkin, Texas.

In her letter to the editor, published in the Lufkin Daily News, 16-year-old Brenna Lambert described the following incident:

A man came out of the clinic carrying a small wooden house. While we were praying, we heard him rev up a chain saw. It seems he had an excuse for it: he had erected the wooden structure directly behind us. However, he had not needed the saw for the structure, as it seemed to be already built. Apparently the chain saw was simply to add to the dramatic effect. For a good 20 minutes at least, the man walked back and forth behind us, yanking the chain saw on and off.

This type of behavior by Planned Parenthood is inexcusable.

Call the Planned Parenthood of Lufkin and voice your concerns at 936-634-8446.

Planned Parenthood clinic opens in Lorain, Ohio

Another Planned Parenthood moved into the state of Ohio. The Women’s Center is located at 200 West Ninth Street.

Planned Parenthood and the YWCA have together put $60,000 into this facility that performs chemical abortions. According to news reports, PP will be referring people to the PP abortion clinics in Bedford and Rocky River for surgical abortions.

There will be an open house at this new Planned Parenthood clinic and we encourage all those who live near Lorain, Ohio, to participate in a peaceful demonstration outside the clinic. The open house will take place on October 12, from noon until 5 p.m.

Peaceful protest affects PP security guard

A volunteer escort security guard at a Planned Parenthood in San Antonio, Texas, ended up taking off his PP smock and went home for the day after a peaceful protest got to him.

On October 5, 2007, Jack Finger attempted to offer a pro-life brochure to a woman in front of the PP and the security guard walked over in front of Jack to block him from the woman, who began walking towards him to receive the brochure.

Mr. Finger then called the police. The police arrived and Jack explained to them what happened. The police told the security guard that Jack had every right to hand the woman that brochure.

The last act of peaceful protest that Mr. Finger engaged in was praying in front of the clinic. After continually making fun of Mr. Finger, the security guard decided to leave the PP facility, leaving his PP smock behind.

Pregnancy center moves right next to PP in Minnesota

Hyland Life Care Center will be moving into a new location on the corner of Ford Parkway and Kenneth Street in St. Paul, Minnesota – just two doors down from Planned Parenthood of St. Paul.

PP of St. Paul performs surgical abortions.

The Hyland Life Care Center offers free ultrasounds, free pregnancy tests, adoption information and material, and financial support to pregnant women.

Planned Parenthood locations close in Michigan

As we reported in the August 1 WSR, two affiliates in Michigan – Planned Parenthood Centers of West Michigan and Planned Parenthood Northern Michigan – merged to create Planned Parenthood of West and Northern Michigan. At that time, Planned Parenthood did not announce which clinics would be closed, if any.

STOPP has now learned that PP has decided to close down two clinics involved in this merger and plans to close three more clinics by the end of the year. The news is reported in the Grand Rapids Press.

Another merger has taken place in Michigan and that is the merger between the PP affiliates of Southeast Michigan and PP Mid-Michigan Alliance. This merger has formed a new affiliate, Planned Parenthood Mid and South Michigan. Due to this merger, another two Planned Parenthood clinics have been closed!

To date, STOPP has learned that Michigan has closed four clinics since October 1 and may close an additional three by the end of the year, making a total of seven possible PP closings in Michigan.

PRAISE GOD!
