Planned Parenthood says abortion is the “beautiful” solution

Planned Parenthood of the Golden Gate in San Francisco has posted an item on its web site that is very revealing in how PP thinks about abortion.

The item reads as follows (all spelling mistakes were in the original):

A mutialated relationship and the beautiful outcome

In high school I had a sexual relationship with my school guidance counselor. He introduced me to drugs and sex, I did things I never thoguht I would do, things that would have shocked me in another life. There was only one time that we had sexual intercourse, and the condom broke. I found myself broke, addicted to crystal meth, and worse, the man that I had trusted turned out to have used me and wouldn't talk to me when I turned out to be pregnant. I had even prostituted myself for money. Desptie being a devout Christian, I had to overcome my prejudices and realize that it was just not the right time for me to have a child. Planned Parenthood helped me with recovery and with getting my life back.

Clearly, this story portrays a tragedy in this woman’s life. However, a number of things are disturbing about this story. The actions of the young girl, the actions of the guidance counselor, and the killing of the child are all tragic. There was no mention by PPGG as to whether or not it notified authorities about this case.

We do know, however, that PP considers the aborting of the baby as a “beautiful outcome.”

Planned Parenthood building new clinic in Denver

In another in a series of cover-ups by Planned Parenthood, its Denver affiliate admits that, over a year ago, it secretly bought land in northeast Denver to build an abortion facility and regional headquarters.

The information became public when a reporter asked Planned Parenthood officials about the facility and PP confirmed that it was theirs.

Construction has not yet started on the facility. According to information released at this time, the facility will be 50,000 square feet and construction is scheduled to begin in November of this year with a projected occupancy date of August, 2008.

Pro-lifers in Denver are gearing up to stop this abortion facility. If you live in Colorado and would like to help in the efforts against this construction, please send your contact information to us at STOPP@ALL.org. Put the word “Denver” in the subject line of the e-mail. We will forward your information to local pro-lifers and you will hear from them.

Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation gives to Planned Parenthood, again

Despite protests by local fans over the last year, the foundation of the National Football League Jacksonville Jaguars has, once again, given a grant to Planned Parenthood. The $30,000 gift to Planned Parenthood of Northeast Florida is intended to fight teen pregnancy.

Pro-lifers in Jacksonville continue to call public attention to this support of Planned Parenthood. According to the Jaguars web site, they will play in the following cities this fall.

  • Denver (9/23)
  • Kansas City (10/7)
  • Tampa Bay (10/28)
  • New Orleans (11/4)
  • Tennessee (11/11)
  • Indianapolis (12/2)
  • Pittsburgh (12/16)
  • Houston (12/30).

We encourage pro-lifers in each of these cities to greet the Jaguars with pro-life signs and information.

Planned Parenthood files lawsuit in Missouri

We told you on July 11 about the new laws in Missouri that would put major restrictions on abortion facilities in the state and would also prohibit organizations that perform abortions from presenting sex education programs or having any of their literature in the schools. Both of these changes will greatly affect Planned Parenthood.

This past week, Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit against the abortion facility restrictions, hoping to get a court to strike them down. This represents another attempt by PP to force its view on society through the courts.

At this time, the lawsuit does not mention the barring of Planned Parenthood from classrooms. We will continue to monitor this situation and let you know of any changes.

Pro-life Memorial Day

American Life League's annual day commemorating the babies lost to abortion is October 1. This date is the first Monday in October, the day the U.S. Supreme Court begins its new session.

It is fitting that there be protests outside of Planned Parenthood on that day, since it was Planned Parenthood that brought the Griswold case to the Court, where justices somehow found the “right to privacy in sexual matters” in the emanations of the penumbra of the Constitution and that set the precedent for the decriminalization of abortion in Roe v. Wade.

This year’s official Pro-Life Memorial Day T-shirt is particularly fitting as it has a picture of the Supreme Court building on the front with the title “Tomb of the Unborn.”

We encourage everyone to demonstrate at Planned Parenthood that day. You can obtain the official T-shirt of ALL's Pro-life Memorial Day 2007 online.

You can find the Planned Parenthood facility nearest to you by going to www.PlannedParenthood.org and entering your zip code in the search box at the top center of the page.

40 Days for Life at Planned Parenthood

There is a nationwide effort to hold prayer vigils outside of Planned Parenthood facilities, for 40 days from September 26 through November 4. Prayer is one of our greatest weapons against Planned Parenthood and we encourage everyone to participate in these events.

You can find further information at www.40DaysForLife.com.

When considering places for your 40 days event, don’t forget the PP express clinic sites. These are visible places where you can call upon God to stop Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood doesn’t have a chance against prayer – and the devil knows it.

Planned Parenthood denied United Way funds in upstate New York

Planned Parenthood leaders clearly have chutzpah. Despite the fact that it has millions of dollars in the bank, PP continually seeks to use other people’s money for even the most mundane expenses.

Two affiliates in upstate New York, Planned Parenthood of Buffalo and Erie County and Planned Parenthood of Niagara County, are in the process of merging to become Planned Parenthood of Western New York.

As part of the merger, files and office equipment will be moved to a new office space. Despite the fact that Planned Parenthood has millions in the bank, it had the gall to ask the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County for $3,000 to help cover moving expenses.

Thankfully, the United Way officials said no. Arlene Kaukus, president of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, told The Buffalo News there is a longstanding position that prohibits the organization from using undesignated gifts to support any programs or agencies that provide abortion services.

Planned Parenthood is so upset about not getting this $3,000 that Laura Meyers, chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood, reportedly wrote to 400 donors who give to her agency through the United Way's designated giving program to consider donating directly to Planned Parenthood instead so the United Way will lose its administrative fee.

We congratulate the officials at United Way of Buffalo and Erie County for refusing the money and we wish every United Way in the country would adopt the same policy of not giving funds to Planned Parenthood.
