Planned Parenthood downplays tragedy of abortion for fathers

As the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood is responsible for committing the abortions of over 250,000 preborn people every year. In addition to that toll there are also mothers that are physically, emotionally and spiritually scarred. However, there is yet another group of individuals that must also be counted among the casualties of Planned Parenthood’s abortion industry. This group is the fathers of the children who are killed.

Planned Parenthood doesn’t just ignore the trauma of these young men but in fact patronizes them into a state of silence and apathy. In an article published on Planned Parenthood’s teen website, TeenWire, young men are reminded that they have absolutely no rights when it comes to the life and death of their own child. Planned Parenthood even goes on to state that these young fathers can be one of two kinds of men: “non-supportive” or “compassionate.” To PP a “compassionate partner” is a young father that “supports his girlfriend in her choices about an unintended pregnancy, including the choice to have an abortion, even if he doesn't agree with her choice.” Planned Parenthood says that being compassionate also means that “In whatever way he can, he tries to help pay for the abortion.”

If a father tries to dissuade the mother of his child from aborting his son or daughter or even if he simply refuses to pay for the abortion he is deemed to be “non-supportive” and is not “compassionate.” Planned Parenthood stresses that it believes fathers should have no say in the death of their own child by stating, “it's very important for all guys who have sex with women to understand that women get to make the decision about whether or not to have a child because it is their bodies, hearts, minds and futures that are most affected by the choice.” Planned Parenthood makes it clear that men are granted no rights and are even told that the effects that the death of their child will have on them are simply not as important as what may happen to a young mother if she raises her child.

We recognize the tremendous toll that abortion has taken on the lives of not just the children killed, but those of their mothers and fathers as well. If you (or someone you know) are struggling with the pain of a past abortion we encourage you to seek healing from your loss. Information on how to begin this healing process can be found at www.rachelsvineyard.org. A portion of the web site is specifically dedicated to post-abortive men seeking healing.

Please remember to always pray that along with the salvation of the lives of the preborn that the lives and souls of the parents of these children may be spared from the evil of abortion. Pray also that those who have been hurt by abortion may seek forgiveness and receive the love and peace of our Lord Himself.

Targeting college students – a Planned Parenthood priority

Over the past several months we have seen a continued increase in the volume and variety of the work that Planned Parenthood is doing on college campuses across the nation. Most recently this influence was highlighted in the perverse “sex fair” that PP ran at Tufts University. A similar sex fair is to take place at Colorado State University today.

In addition to this continued activity we recently found that Planned Parenthood is specifically seeking people to fill positions that will further expand its influence on college campuses. On the Feminist Majority web site there are listings for “feminist jobs.” Among these listings you can find that Planned Parenthood is looking for a Campus Organizer. The responsibilities listed for this job include:

Plan for and implement campus-based events

  • Serve as a leader on Pro-Choice Lobby Day (March 15) and mobilize students to attend
  • Conduct educational outreach activities about relevant choice issues on campus including, but not limited to, tabling events, job/volunteer fairs, campus rallies, etc.
  • Develop and implement strategies to collect signatures for the Freedom of Choice Act Citizen’s Petition
  • Work with students, faculty, staff, and appropriate student and community groups to generate interest in choice issues and to establish a Planned Parenthood presence on campus
  • Establish a sustainable VOX or Students for Choice group on campus and act as a liaison between Planned Parenthood and student groups
  • Report data collected from organizing work on campus to the field organizer through regularly scheduled phone calls, as well as through e-mail and fax
  • Attend one training per term with campus organizing interns working on various college campuses
  • Find a replacement organizer at the end of the internship

With this position, Planned Parenthood is not only seeking to spread its VOX groups to more college campuses, but it is using these programs to indoctrinate the young men and women involved in this job.

To combat this increase in activity and emphasis that Planned Parenthood is placing on college outreach we encourage our readers who are attending college, or who have children attending college, to become active in their campus pro-life groups. Sadly, in many cases there are no such clubs to combat the work of Planned Parenthood. If that is the case with your campus, please contact us at stopp@all.org and we will help you start an active group.

Planned Parenthood in Sarasota opening new abortion facility and more

According to a recent article in the Bradenton Herald, Planned Parenthood of Southwest Florida broke ground last Thursday for its new $7.8 million regional headquarters at 736 Central Ave. in Rosemary Court. The 23,000-square-foot building will include an expanded clinic, library, meeting rooms and administrative offices.

Planned Parenthood also announced a new fundraising campaign to open three new clinics in areas of “great need” as well as raising an additional $1 million for its endowment fund. When asked if one of those clinics would be built in Manatee County, Planned Parenthood said the locations would not be announced until the March 12 annual dinner at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.

Now is the time for all pro-lifers on the west coast of Florida to rise up and oppose the spread of this evil organization. To find out how you can help, contact Sarasota/Manatee Right to Life in Sarasota, Florida

Planned Parenthood equates opening of abortion facility to giving birth

It one of the sickest analogies we have heard, Barbara Zdravecky, the CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southwest Florida, announced to a crowd of more than 100 supporters that “This is the most exciting time of my life, just like going to the hospital to give birth to my daughter.”

Can you imagine? Breaking ground for a new abortion facility is as exciting to this woman as giving birth. What a warped sense of values exists inside Planned Parenthood!

School of design accepts Planned Parenthood’s offer of gallery space

The newspaper article on the groundbreaking of the new PP abortion facility in Sarasota revealed that the building would include, in addition to its killing chambers, a ground-level gallery operated by the Ringling School of Design. We sent an e-mail to Dr. Larry Thompson, the president of the prestigious school, asking him not to associate himself with Planned Parenthood. He sent the following explanation:

The local chapter of Planned Parenthood is in the process of beginning construction on a new headquarters located in proximity to Ringling School of Art and Design.

What has happened is that organization has offered to Ringling School the opportunity to use a small portion of the building (about 1000 square feet) which is separate from the organization's activities as a gallery space to display student artwork. This is a great opportunity for us to have ground level space at no cost in an area that is undergoing redevelopment and is close to our school. This allows the great art our students do to be displayed in a gallery environment which we will create.

This has absolutely nothing to do with what Planned Parenthood does or does not do. It is merely a gallery that is connected to their building.

The assumption from your e-mail seems to be that we are supporting Planned Parenthood. To the contrary, we are supporting our students in an endeavor to get greater exposure of their artwork. We would do the same if there was an opportunity with your organization if you were constructing a facility near our campus and offered us 1000 square feet of gallery space on the ground floor.

As an organization, Ringling School does not espouse any views on the activities of Planned Parenthood or any pro-life organization. We are not a part of any of those organizations and do not intend to be.

This is a perfect illustration of how Planned Parenthood uses its wealth to gain credibility. Can you imagine the number of students, friends, families and general public who will be visiting this art gallery, in the very building where babies are being killed, in space owned by the largest abortionist in the country?

We have not given up on this. If you would like to send a message to Dr, Thompson (please be civil in the e-mails; this is the time for education and enlightenment, not the time for condemnation), his e-mail address is: president@ringling.edu.

New trend in Planned Parenthood facilities

The physical layout of the new Planned Parenthood in Sarasota is one that appears to be part of a new trend by PP in an effort to win support. A similarly designed building in Portland, Oregon is being pushed by PP.

These buildings have retail or similar space at the street level and the Planned Parenthood killing centers on the second floor or in the back. PP sells these projects as improving shopping to the community and providing jobs. It is a clever way to bring killing centers into poor neighborhoods. PP hopes nobody will notice it is also killing future generations of current residents upstairs.

All who fight Planned Parenthood should be aware of this trend and be prepared to fight it.

Youth in Cincinnati and Notre Dame taking initiative to fight Planned Parenthood

Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Cincinnati hosted a day of education and activism for the youth of their community. The day began with a peaceful, prayerful and visible protest of the local Planned Parenthood in Cincinnati. Afterward the youth returned to the parish to listen to presentations about Planned Parenthood and its agenda as well as how to defeat PP’s culture of death in their high schools and college campuses. Presentations were given by representatives of American Life League's Rock for Life and STOPP departments.

After speaking to the youth in Cincinnati, American Life League sent these same representatives to an even larger group of youth at a day-long chastity and pro-life awareness event in Indiana that was hosted by Notre Dame Right to Life.

We congratulate these diligent groups for preparing the youth to fight the evil influence of Planned Parenthood and its agenda in their communities. If you would like a member of the American Life League team to visit and tell your group how to defeat Planned Parenthood and create a culture of life in your community please contact us at stopp@all.org.

Special Mass to be offered for the Feast of the Annunciation

Each year, Christians across the world celebrate the incarnation of Jesus on March 25 – nine months before His birth is celebrated on December 25. In the Catholic Church, this celebration is called the Feast of the Annunciation.

It is a day when we can stop and remember the babies in the womb. This year, American Life League has arranged for a special Mass to be offered for the intention of the safe delivery of all babies in the womb. We are pleased to let you know that you can have a preborn baby remembered at this Mass. All you need do is tell us the baby’s name and he or she will be added to the intentions. If a name has not yet been decided upon, you can still submit an intention. Just say Baby (mother’s last name) or “(mother’s first name)’s baby.”

To find out more about this celebration and the resources that are available, and to submit a name to be remembered at the Mass, please check online.

Planned Parenthood denies the humanity of the child in the womb. This is an opportunity to affirm the sacredness of every human being's life right from its beginning.

Babies saved from Planned Parenthood in Colorado

Planned Parenthood operates an abortion facility at 2030 E 20th Ave in Denver. Each day that the killing takes place, steadfast pro-lifers from Colorado Right to Life have a presence outside the killing center. They pray and try to reach the mothers who are entering the facility to kill their children.

Since January 22 of this year, these valiant warriors know of at least seven babies whose lives have been spared because their mothers changed their minds after talking with the peaceful, prayerful protesters outside of the clinic.

Congratulations to the members of Colorado Right to Life and all others who courageously stand before these killing centers and make a difference. May God continue to bless your efforts and give you strength.
