Planned Parenthood claims guilt is abnormal

Planned Parenthood responded to a question on its teen web site, TeenWire, by saying that sin is normal. This is hardly a new tactic, since we see similar statements from Planned Parenthood every day.

However, PP has somehow found a way to be even more outrageous. The question posed to the “experts” at TeenWire asks if feeling guilty about sexually immoral acts is normal. The response given by Planned Parenthood is that, “[self-stimulation] is a perfectly healthy activity. Although some people may worry that [it] is harmful, it actually is one of the body's most effective ways to relieve stress.” The response even states that, “the majority of people” commit this sin as though that were justification for it.

After Planned Parenthood makes sure it conveys that there is nothing wrong with these sins, it goes on to imply that if you do feel guilty about them then something must be wrong with you. PP even goes as far as to suggest that you should seek “professional counseling” if you feel guilty about this immoral behavior.

With every passing remark it makes, it becomes even clearer that Planned Parenthood seeks to not only make children believe sin is “normal” but that it is “good.” We must prevent Planned Parenthood from preaching these lies by keeping PP’s influence far away from our children’s schools and organizations and by continuing to give clear moral instruction at home.

Planned Parenthood tells shop owners how to run their stores

An article last week in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel explains that many convenience stores are choosing to put condoms behind the counter or in locked cases in order to prevent these frequently shoplifted items from being stolen. In this article Joanne Kennedy Coffman, director of patient services for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, states that she, “has a problem with them keeping condoms locked up because it's creating a barrier. Instead of being humiliated or embarrassed, I am just thinking they will have sex without them." She even admits that, "it's a very sensitive subject buying condoms… asking for razor blades or Nicorette is one thing, but admitting that you're having sex is another.”

Coffman then goes on to say that, “the benefit of condoms to public health should trump a store's interest in maintaining profit margins.”

How outrageous. First of all, it is very interesting that an organization which touts “choice” as the highest moral value would make any judgments against shopkeepers. Planned Parenthood’s accusation that these store owners are, “risking public health at the cost of maintaining profit margins” is almost laughably ironic.

Planned Parenthood continues to make hundreds of millions of dollars each year. In 2005, PP cleared over $60 million in pure profit. It earned this profit margin by selling dangerous contraceptive chemicals and devices to nearly 2.5 million young women; permanently sterilizing over 3,000 women and men; selling just shy of 1 million kits of the dangerous super-dosed emergency contraception; and surgically killing 255,015 preborn children (in 2004, the last year for which Planned Parenthood has released data).

These profits came at tremendous cost to our nation’s public health and welfare.

Even PP’s language reflects that it is interested in business and not health care. Not once in its 25 year plan does Planned Parenthood refer to the individuals that it serves as “patients” but instead calls them “clients.” To PP these individuals are customers and nothing more.

We must continue to educate our communities about the profit-hungry Planned Parenthood and never allow anyone to trust it as a “health-care organization.”

Clinic in Alabama vacant

In our December 13 Wednesday STOPP Report, American Life League reported that we had concluded our annual nationwide PP clinic survey for 2006. We encouraged local pro-lifers in the cities where Planned Parenthood operates to tell us of any changes that have occurred.

The Physicians for Life group in Alabama had one of their members investigate the Planned Parenthood facility in Montgomery. He reported back the following:

I went by and the [Planned Parenthood] store here in Montgomery is closed. There is a sign on the door to call the Birmingham office and there is only an old sofa inside. The facility is still there with its sign like it may re-open in the future, but no one is there right now just the sign to call the other office.

This of course is great news because it means that there is one less clinic that is currently doing Planned Parenthood’s evil business. However, since the sign still remains there is some cause to believe that PP may be planning to re-open this location. The local people will be keeping a watch on this site to see whether it will re-open or close for good.

Of course, we will keep you up to date on any changes of PP clinics that we become aware of across the country. We continue to encourage you to contact us if you notice any changes in the activities of the clinics in our report.

Finally we want to thank Physicians for Life for taking the time to investigate this matter; may God continue to bless all their work.

American Life League redoubles efforts to close down Planned Parenthood

Reflecting upon the many victories that were won against Planned Parenthood in 2006, we at American Life League are greatly encouraged. However, we know that we must remain diligent in this work until the last traces of Planned Parenthood’s lies are gone from our communities. In the upcoming year we plan to fight harder than ever to ensure that day will be soon.

We will be developing many new programs and resources that will be available in the coming months. However, to become an even more effective leader in the fight against Planned Parenthood we will need your help.

The first thing you can do is to get as many of your family, friends and members of your community to sign up for this free e-newsletter. Each week we expose more of Planned Parenthood’s deceptive and deadly work. We also provide action items so you can fight PP. It is important that this information reaches as many people as possible in every community in this country.

Secondly, we ask that you keep an eye out for new action items, resources, reports and projects that we will be offering throughout this year and contribute as much of your time and prayer as possible to the success of this fight.

Finally, remember that American Life League’s STOPP department exists to help YOU. Please do not hesitate to e-mail, write or call us to ask for help to keep PP away from your children, your tax money and out of your community. If your organization needs a speaker, we will be glad to do a presentation for you. If you need facts and figures about PP that you can’t find anywhere else we will find a way to get them for you. We will continue to do anything in our power to give you the resources to stop Planned Parenthood once and for all.
