Planned Parenthood hides pro-violence video,
but can't run away from organization's failures

"When STOPP and other pro-lifers exposed an animated short on a Planned Parenthood web site that glorified violence against peaceful pro-lifers, we demanded an apology to all pro-life Christians," said Jim Sedlak, executive director of American Life League's STOPP International. "We also demanded the dismissal of all persons involved in the authorization and production of that video. While the video link is now deactivated on the Planned Parenthood site, we're still waiting for the apology and for those responsible for this stunt to be held to account."

On Tuesday, Planned Parenthood Golden Gate removed a link to the video from the home page of the organization's web site. The link has now returned to that page, but the link itself is dead, meaning visitors to the web site are unable to view the video.

The presentation features a "Superhero for Choice" who strongly resembles Dian Harrison, PPGG's CEO, vaporizing peaceful pro-life demonstrators with a condom bazooka, and drowning an abstinence advocate in a garbage pail full of liquid. To date, no one from Planned Parenthood's local or national offices has offered any comment about the animated short or the current controversy surrounding the video.

"Has Planned Parenthood become so frustrated that it is losing its ideological battle that it has determined its only recourse is to turn to violence?" asked Sedlak. "Abortion is the most important consideration in the selection of the next Supreme Court justice. In 2004, abortion played a major role in determining how people voted - and the presidential candidate Planned Parenthood endorsed lost. Add to that the fact that Planned Parenthood has been closing down clinics for lack of support, and you can see how employees of the organization are frustrated."

Sedlak said now that Planned Parenthood has publicly revealed a violent streak that has obviously been going on in its backrooms for quite some time, "it is time we put an end to the organization's influence. Let's cut off all taxpayer money going to Planned Parenthood. In addition, let's make sure this organization that promotes violence is not allowed anywhere near our children."

The eight-minute animated feature may be viewed online.
