“We are extremely pleased with David Bereit’s decision to join the STOPP team and help spread the truth about the evils of Planned Parenthood on a national level,” said Jim Sedlak, executive director of American Life League’s STOPP International. Bereit begins his role today as the national director of STOPP at American Life League’s headquarters in Virginia. “David will do an excellent job at leading nationwide opposition to Planned Parenthood by bringing his unique insight, activism and dynamic presentation style to the organization,” he said.
Bereit joins STOPP after successfully leading a four-year fight against Planned Parenthood in Bryan, Texas, with the Coalition for Life, a local non-profit organization. After spending 11 years in professional sales and marketing, David resigned his position in the pharmaceutical industry to devote his full-time energy to the pro-life movement.
Bereit’s work with the Coalition for Life has gained national attention, including features on ABC’s Nightline, Fox News, and the Dr. Laura Schlessinger Show. David’s efforts also gained national attention with abortion proponents when Gloria Feldt, past president of Planned Parenthood, called Bryan, “the most anti-choice place in the nation.” Said Sedlak, “If Planned Parenthood thinks David helped to make Bryan ‘anti-choice,’ they will not know what to say about him now that he’s taking on the entire country.”
STOPP International has helped challenge Planned Parenthood and its programs across the United States. Bereit will continue this trend as the new national director by assisting communities in opposing the abortion giant at the local level. “David brings a wealth of knowledge, talent and experience to the table,” said Sedlak. “It is always inspiring when someone with his abilities chooses to devote their life’s work to the most important fight there is – the fight to save preborn babies.”
