Planned Parenthood shows true colors
(and they aren’t red, white and blue)

“Planned Parenthood’s disturbing attempt to silence pro-life free speech in Bryan, Texas has led to the outrageous banning of the American flag from flying in the public right-of-way,” said Ed Szymkowiak, the national director of STOPP International, a project of American Life League.

The controversy stems from a complaint made by Planned Parenthood against a veteran who was flying his flag in early July at half-staff in front of Planned Parenthood because it performs abortions.

According to the Bryan, Texas city attorney, the ordinance that says signs cannot be placed in the public right-of-way also applies to flags. So when Planned Parenthood complained, police officers were sent to demand that the American flag be removed. After pro-lifers noted that the ordinance was being selectively enforced against them, the city had other flags removed from the public right of way as well.

“Apparently Planned Parenthood has no problem with restricting pro-lifers’ use of the American flag as a gesture of respect and sadness for the children killed by Planned Parenthood,” said Szymkowiak.

“In an effort to stifle free speech on behalf of the preborn, Planned Parenthood has shown once again why it is extremely controversial. Let’s pray that pro-lifers, under the leadership of Brazos Valley Coalition for Life, will help all the citizens of Bryan see the true nature of Planned Parenthood and reject its harmful agenda,” he said.
