Summary and analysis of
Planned Parenthood’s
operation in the United States

Conclusions

The 1997/98 Planned Parenthood Federation of America is an organization out of step with the American people—an organization losing support among the general public.

  • PPFA is only operating in 47 states (PP is not in North Dakota, Mississippi or Hawaii).
  • The total number of PPFA clinics dropped from 900 last year to 850 (this is the lowest total since 1988).
  • The total number of customers at PPFA dropped for the first time this decade.
  • The number of staff and volunteers rose slightly to 21,000, but is still far below its 30,000 staff and volunteers in 1987.

Although Planned Parenthood continues to claim universal support, and cites polls that supposedly back up its claims, the real numbers tell a different story.

What is clear from this annual report is that PP has lost the fight for the hearts of the American people. Planned Parenthood has admitted this in a new program announced last year and highlighted in its annual report. That program is being called the “Responsible Choices Action Agenda.” It is a program with over 20 goals and sub- goals. But a careful reading of the plan reveals its true agenda: To win through political and judicial means what Planned Parenthood has been unable to win through popular opinion.

It will try to win its agenda by getting judges to mandate its programs or its funding.

With all the data we now have, it is the time to say no to PP. To help defeat PP, contact us at STOPP at 540-659-4171. With your help we can continue to tell the truth about PP. Planned Parenthood can not survive the truth!
