If Roe is overturned, Planned Parenthood may move abortuaries to reservations
In our May 2004 issue of the Ryan Report we told you how Planned Parenthood is so intent on killing children that it has a special task force working on how it will continue to do abortions if Roe v. Wade is ever overturned. We reported then that "the task force plans to create a liability study between partnering of safe and non-safe affiliates and hopes to include other groups such as CAPS and AGI in a cash-based abortion services pricing study."
Word now reaches STOPP that one of the real options being considered by Planned Parenthood is the possibility of providing abortions in places where federal laws don't apply. Some of the places it has identified are:
- Native American reservations
- Ships offshore (such as the Women on the Waves initiative)
- Setting up abortuaries along the border in Canada - where abortion is legal.
ACTION: The only real solution to PP's activities is to shut it down. This can be done by taking away its taxpayer money and keeping it away from our children.
Is this a person you would want teaching your children?!
In communities all across the United States, Planned Parenthood pushes itself as the provider of medically accurate sexuality education for our young people. PP gets into schools, Girl Scout troops, 4-H clubs and elsewhere, portraying itself as "healthcare professionals."
A Stopper in Indiana did some investigation on one of Planned Parenthood's sexuality educators - Kelly M. (We are not using her last name because our fight is not with her, but with PP. If anyone needs documentation on what we are saying, just e-mail us and we will provide it.)
On her Planned Parenthood business card, Kelly states that she is a Sexuality Educator and Trainer for Southern Indiana and Local Peer Education Coordinator for Planned Parenthood.
A search of the web reveals the following biographical information for Kelly:
Kelly … is a respected, forward-thinking leader in the sexuality community. (She) has had wide exposure to numerous aspects of South Central Indiana's expression of sexuality. From her more unusual positions as an adult book store clerk, BDSM dungeon monitor and escort service phone dispatcher; to her more professional positions at the Kinsey Institute as a research assistant and associate archivist, and at Planned Parenthood as a sexuality educator, (she) has "seen it all." Her experience allows (us) to operate from a broader, more open definition of sexuality.
A further internet search reveals there are manuals for "BDSM dungeon monitors." One such manual begins with the following:
This manual was written as both an introduction and a reference for new dungeon monitor and experienced - those special individuals willing to learn about and accept the responsibilities of maintaining a safe, sane and consensual environment for S/M play at the BDSM play parties. While it has been designed and developed for NLA-Austin Dungeon Monitors, it is hoped this manual may be of value to other clubs in the dominance and submission (D/S) or Bondage and Discipline, Sado/Masochism (BDSM) lifestyle.
Wow! So here you have a person trained in the acceptance of sexual deviance and she is the one Planned Parenthood is sending in to teach our children about sexuality! Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture?
On Planned Parenthood of Indiana's web site, Kelly M. is listed as the contact person (in Bloomington, Columbus and Paoli) for those interested in becoming a peer educator. What is a "peer educator?" Well, Planned Parenthood of Indiana defines it this way on its web site:
Peer educators serve as a resource for other teens in their communities, answering questions about puberty, reproductive health, sexuality, sexually transmitted infections, relationships, and other teen health concerns. Teens aged 14-17 who successfully complete a comprehensive 40-hour training program are eligible to become peer educators, providing information to other youth in one-on-one consultations or group educational sessions. Peer education provides youth the opportunity to develop valuable skills in leadership, public speaking, and community outreach.
So, Kelly M. not only gives talks to teens, she actually trains some teens to go out and preach to their friends. Wonder what they will say to their friends? Just read Kelly's biography again.
Remember, our intent here is NOT to fight Kelly. Nor are we suggesting that every PP sexuality educator has this type of background.
Our argument is that it is intolerable that Planned Parenthood would consider a person with this background as someone suitable to teach our young children. The mere fact that PP sees no problem with having a BDSM dungeon monitor instruct our children on matters of sexuality should reveal all we need to know of the kinds of values imparted to children in PP programs! And, remember, they often use OUR tax money to support these programs and frequently send these "educators" into OUR schools!
ACTION: Make a copy of this article and get it to every school board member and elected official you can. Let them know that Planned Parenthood sexuality educators do not belong anywhere near our schools.
Virginia town sued over PP permit
Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge recently opened an abortion facility in Charlottesville, Virginia. Local pro-lifers are outraged, especially because PP was allowed to open this baby-killing facility in a building zoned for "offices." Under Virginia statute, the facility is a hospital.
Pro-lifers appealed PP's occupancy permit to the Charlottesville zoning board of appeals. Given the opportunity to end the baby killing just by enforcing existing zoning laws, the zoning board refused to do it. Instead, on November 9, the Abermarle County Board of Zoning Appeals voted 3-1 to allow Planned Parenthood to stay.
But the fight is not over. Renae Townsend, who lives in a townhouse development adjacent to the Planned Parenthood building, and five other residents of Garden Court have filed suit against Albemarle County, contending that Planned Parenthood has no legal right to operate in its location. (See: Albemarle sued over new office)
ACTION: Please keep this lawsuit in your prayers. If you live near Charlottesville, join pro-lifers in their weekly demonstrations outside the killing center.
New Planned Parenthood facilities
We have received word that the following PP facilities have opened around the country since our last Ryan Report. If you are aware of any others that have opened, please let us know. We encourage pro-lifers to actively conduct activities in opposition to these facilities.
- Planned Parenthood of East Central Michigan has opened a new clinic in Saginaw on October 18. The "Tri-Cities Health Center" is located at 2650 N. McLeod Drive and has already established relationships with Saginaw County Department of Public Health and the Janes Street Academic Community Health Center.

Planned Parenthood devastated by election results
Planned Parenthood affiliates all over the country are in deep sorrow over the results of the election. Not only did John Kerry, the first presidential candidate ever openly endorsed by PP, lose, but it also suffered many other defeats. Some of those defeats are:
- Planned Parenthood fought against a parental notification amendment in Florida, which would prevent underage girls from obtaining abortions without their parents' knowledge. The amendment passed by a huge margin of 65% to 35%.
- Planned Parenthood opposed state amendments that define marriage as a union between one man and one woman. However, the amendments were overwhelmingly passed in 11 states.
- American voters came out in full force with the message that moral values were a major factor in this year's elections. Planned Parenthood supports and promotes programs and ideologies that are completely devoid of traditional moral values.
Perhaps the most telling quote concerning the election results came from the approval of parental notification in Florida. Mary Capobianco, president of the South Palm Beach and Broward Counties chapter of Planned Parenthood said, "I can't believe people would vote to invade their children's privacy."
That statement alone tells you how out of touch Planned Parenthood is with normal parents.
Planned Parenthood loses big In Texas textbook fight
You may be aware that there has been a big fight in Texas over health textbooks. Planned Parenthood was upset because the textbooks being considered for approval in the state were abstinence-only, with no mention of birth control. This battle was particularly important to PP because textbooks approved in Texas are often used in many other states.
Planned Parenthood did everything it could to change the content of the textbooks. It even helped form the Texas Freedom Network to organize opposition.
STOPP International's executive director was invited by Kyleen Wright, of the Texans for Life Coalition, to appear at a press conference before a public hearing in Austin where the textbooks were being discussed. Kyleen did a fantastic job organizing support for the textbooks and the public hearing turned into such a resounding support of the abstinence-only message, that the head of PP's Texas Freedom Network submitted her resignation after the hearings!
In November, the vote was taken on the textbooks and the results were fantastic. In her victory e-mail sent to STOPP, Kyleen wrote: "Got it all Jim, including language specifying marriage = man + woman. The vote was 13 to 1. It was awesome."
Praise God!!
Planned Parenthood is an organization that is completely out of step with mainstream America. You can fight it and win in your community. Remember that STOPP International is always here to help.
We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. We have many victories over Planned Parenthood, all across the nation, to be thankful for this year.
