Planned Parenthood claims Jesus was for “choice on earth”
In the November Ryan Report and in the 11/26 Update we first told you about PP’s “Choice on Earth” Christmas cards and t-shirts. Well, in a despicable attempt to justify this anti-Christian “Choice on Earth” campaign, Planned Parenthood is now claiming that the Bible indicates “that Jesus was not against women having a choice in continuing a pregnancy” and that He was for “choice on earth.” Saying that Jesus Christ, Our Savior, is in favor of abortion, the killing of innocent children, is blasphemous. No one should be surprised by the outrage Christians have been expressing across the country.
The December 2, 2002 Planned Parenthood press release reprinted letters to Fox News’ Bill O'Reilly from both Planned Parenthood’s president, Gloria Feldt, and Planned Parenthood Clergy Advisory Board member, Rev. Mark Bigelow. Both defended the “Choice on Earth” campaign, with Feldt adding criticism of STOPP International for starting what she says are “absurd anti-Christianity allegations” against Planned Parenthood. O'Reilly discussed the matter for a second time on his show on December 2 with former National Organization for Women President Patricia Ireland.
Bigelow’s letter referred to Jesus and the Bible. STOPP challenges Rev. Bigelow to quote any Bible verse that substantiates the perverse claim that Jesus was for the “choice” of abortion.”
Christians across the country should contact their Congressional representatives and Senators to demand that steps be taken immediately when Congress convenes to defund this anti-Christian organization. Planned Parenthood gets 30 percent of its annual income from government sources. That amounted to over $202 million from American taxpayers in just one year!

More on PP using tax dollars to recruit new PP clients
In the November issue of the Ryan Report we told you about Planned Parenthood’s proposal to use tax money to pay teen recruiters to get other teens to become Planned Parenthood customers. This issue has also been getting a lot of press lately and STOPP has had several media interviews about it. A December 3, 2002 story from cnsnews.com is online.
More recent news from STOPP’s contact fighting this program in Morrow County indicates that PP’s original proposal was modified to have mother/daughter recruiting teams.
PP's agenda is social engineering; 'health care' posturing covers up true mission
"If Planned Parenthood really is a health care organization, how come it doesn't talk about 'patients'?" asked Ed Szymkowiak, national director of STOPP International (a project of American Life League). "A careful reading of its 25-year plan, Vision 2025, shows that Planned Parenthood's primary focus is social engineering, not health care."
Szymkowiak said in the entire Vision 2025 document, the term 'patients' does not appear a single time when referring to those who use Planned Parenthood's services. "This document is more of a strategic plan for an organization that clearly considers itself the leader of a social movement and not a health care organization. It is time for all government agencies to stop giving Planned Parenthood taxpayer money that is supposed to be spent on true health care."
Szymkowiak and STOPP's executive director, Jim Sedlak, recently released a comprehensive analysis of Vision 2025. The 19-page analysis, The Planned Parenthood health care hoax, along with a 2-page summary, can be found on STOPP's web site.
"It is also noteworthy that this 25-year plan never mentions God," said Sedlak. "Planned Parenthood says it wants to 'be an authoritative force in creating the ethics that govern biogenome technology.' For Planned Parenthood to think that it can create ethics without reference to a higher moral authority is the height of arrogance."
Sedlak said in the year ahead, STOPP International will focus on bringing to light "the hedonistic philosophy behind Planned Parenthood's Vision 2025 and encouraging people across the United States to fight against Planned Parenthood."
In addition to the analysis of Planned Parenthood's vision document, the STOPP web site also contains STOPP's plan for defeating Planned Parenthood. Anyone interested in having Sedlak or Szymkowiak speak to a church or community group can contact them at 540-659-4171 or by e-mail.
