THE STOPP REPORT

Special issue
June 2000

Summary and analysis of
Planned Parenthood’s
operation in the United States

Profits:

Planned Parenthood recorded in 1998/1999 an unusually high "income in excess of expenditures." Therefore, the first part of this report will examine the profit motive at work at PPFA through the years.

Customer loss:

Even as Planned Parenthood's money is increasing, it is losing customers. We will examine this trend in the second part of the report.

Affiliates:

Planned Parenthood operates through a network of affiliates across the United States. The third part of this report will present, for the first time anywhere outside of PP, a complete list of affiliates along with their annual income and relative ranking.

Statistics:

The last page of the report will be a summary of PPFA's income, expenses and services over the last five years. This annual edition of the Ryan Report is the only place this information is presented.
