Washington, D.C. (10 June 2008) - Rock for Life’s pro-life summer music tour started today, embarking on a mission to spread the pro-life message to America’s youth.
“The temperatures are rising and the road is calling. It’s time to hit the road and tackle the culture of death head on!” said Erik Whittington, director of American Life League’s youth outreach program.
Each summer Rock for Life sends a group of young adults to set up booths at numerous Christian music festivals, educating festival attendees about the truths of abortion and signing them up for the Rock for Life program. This year, during the months of June, July and August, Rock for Life will be traveling over 8,300 miles to attend 11 music festivals and lead prayer and pro-life visibility events at 14 Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities while meeting up with local youth groups.
"Although the summer may be a time to kick back for some," said Whittington, "for us it’s a time to work our tails off exposing the lies of big abortion, converting hearts and minds to the pro-life side while mobilizing thousands of pro-life youth to effectively battle the culture of death in their communities. We look forward to another amazing summer. God is going to do big things!"
