Pro-Life Pumpkin Contest
Share the Message – Uphold the Dignity of ALL Human Beings this Oct. 31!
American Life League is rolling out the 2016 Pro-Life Pumpkin Carving Contest. Submit photos of your pro-life jack-o'-lantern and enter to win a pair of National Pro-Life T-Shirts.
"This is such a fun and exciting way to share with kids the importance of upholding the dignity of a human being and the gift of life itself," said Judie Brown. "Every human being who steps on your porch this October 31 will get a lot more than a handful of candy and chocolates. They’ll also be getting a message on how special every single life is from creation to death."
It all began with Michael Hichborn—former host of American Life League’s ALL Report host and Defend the Faith director—sharing his family’s yearly Halloween tradition of carved pumpkins featuring pro-life themed silhouettes. Mike and his wife, Alyssa, have used the yearly Halloween tradition to talk to their kids about standing up for preborn babies and the precious gift of human life.
In the past, we have shared his stencil ideas and were swamped with requests for the stencil—which was made available on our website (and 2010's stencil).
Even more impressive, however, were the dozens of original pro-life pumpkin creations that were e-mailed our way. Clearly this has sparked some imaginations and we’re still hearing the stories of conversations sparked with neighbors.
It also spooked the pro-abortion cartel, which made our day.
So this year, grab a gourd, carve away, and remember to send us the pictures and stories. Our three favorite entries will get a pair of pro-life T-shirts from our National Pro-Life T-Shirt Day store (sizes are limited) and a copy of "Who Was the Real Margaret Sanger" unity study from our Culture of Life Studies catalog.
