American Life League on ‘Obergefell’ Decision: Supreme Court Sold Our Country’s Soul

Washington, DC—In reaction to today’s Obergefell v. Hodges verdict by the United States Supreme Court, American Life League president Judie Brown issued the following statement:

Respect for every human being’s life and the sanctity of marriage is the cornerstone and heartbeat of any nation. Today’s Supreme Court decision strikes at the heart of our nation just as Roe v. Wade did decades ago. Now, by judicial fiat, we are called to honor the fictional union of two people of the same sex. A nation that has lost its values has lost its soul. Our nation has become like a dead body floating downstream, to what destination only the devil knows.

Sister Lucia of Fatima related to Cardinal Carlo Caraffa that “the final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family. Don’t be afraid,” she added, “because anyone who works for the sanctity of marriage and the family will always be fought and opposed in every way, because this is the decisive issue.” And then she concluded: “However, Our Lady has already crushed its head.”

American Life League strongly opposes all attacks against the dignity of innocent human life and the sanctity of marriage, and will continue the hard work of rebuilding our culture from the ashes of its destruction.

Funding Planned Parenthood's Cancer Screening 'Idiocy'
PP Pushes Products Shown to Cause Cancer

Washington, DC—Planned Parenthood is upset this week because it lost taxpayer dollars intended to fund a breast and cervical cancer screening program in Texas. In response, Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League and head of ALL’s STOPP effort, issued the following comment:

Does Planned Parenthood really think no one will notice the idiocy of giving it money for cancer screening? The two biggest products sold by Planned Parenthood are birth control pills and abortions. The World Health Organization has classified combined oral contraceptives (birth control pills) as a Group 1 carcinogen. WHO says the pills cause breast, cervical, and liver cancer. In addition, the medical link between abortion and breast cancer has been verified by scientific studies. Providing taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood to screen for diseases its products cause simply makes no sense. What’s next? Sending taxpayer money to tobacco companies to screen for lung cancer?

Planned Parenthood Finds Another Way to Make Money from Its Sex Business
PP Charging Rip-Off Prices for Commonly Available Test

Washington, DC—In response to this week’s announcement that Planned Parenthood has launched a mobile app that lets users in California, Minnesota, and Washington request a home lab kit that tests for two of the most common sexually transmitted diseases, Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League and head of ALL’s STOPP effort, issued the following statement:

Anyone familiar with Planned Parenthood knows it is always looking for ways to increase profits. This new app is just such an example. Reportedly, PP is charging young people $149 to test for two diseases. This test would cost about $8 at any federal clinic and $15 at a regular clinic. According to the announcement, PP will be doing the testing at its own labs—thereby pocketing more of the fee. It’s time the general public saw Planned Parenthood for what it is: a money-hungry pariah operating a sex business for profit.

ALL Board Member States “Insult to Women” for Bruce Jenner to Claim He is a Woman
Hugh Brown issues call to stand against cultural ‘mudslide’

Washington, DC—American Life League board member Hugh Brown issued a commentary today on the recent media buzz surrounding Bruce Jenner’s claim that he is now a woman.

“Bruce and his self-described evolution are being called progress. It’s progressive, it’s open-minded, it’s moving forward. The popular media loves it. Let’s be clear; it’s nuts. He is not a woman,” stated Brown.

Further commenting on the media’s bias, Brown stated,

I heard someone say that if you disagree with Bruce claiming to be a woman, it is bigotry. That is a lie. The media and some in it use words to intimidate. If you oppose a man claiming to be a woman and state that he needs help, or believe that perhaps some trauma or series of events in his life has led him to be clearly misguided, you are a bigot. That’s also a lie, and it’s the new mantra of the world.

Brown issued a call for Americans to stand up against the “mudslide” of popular culture that “has no bottom.”

What you must take heart in is that Christ suffered far worse, and He has your back. Do you really believe that? Then stand tall. Write letters to your editor, train up and raise your children and grandchildren the right way in the truth of Christ. Discuss difficult topics with your family. Pray daily as a family. Pray in public; pray before meals in restaurants with sincerity. Set the example. Be the one. Monitor and control the Internet and TV in your house as it corrupts and deceives. Stand firm; have hope and be courageous.

Brown’s commentary can be read in full [blog=14855/]here[/blog].

Twitter Takeover Planned for The Pill Kills National Day of Action
The pill is widely used as a recreational drug, with deadly consequences

Washington, DC—On June 6, American Life League and over 50 cosponsors from 21 states and Australia will rally to expose the dangers of hormonal contraception. This marks the eighth annual observance of The Pill Kills National Day of Action. This year's theme is The Pill Kills Truth.

“The pill and other forms of hormonal contraception are widely used as recreational drugs, with deadly consequences,” stated Rita Diller, director of American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood International (STOPP). “Women need to be told all the facts about these drugs, and the pill pushers have shrouded them in a cloak of mistruth and deception.”

The campaign will take over Twitter on Saturday as part of a widespread awareness effort. “Social media is a great way to get out the truth about the pill,” said Diller. “We will be posting facts about hormonal contraception’s grave risks as well as pointing people to resources that will help them treat their medical conditions rather than simply mask the symptoms.”

Follow the Twitter campaign using #thepillkills, and for more information, visit thepillkills.org.

The Pill Exposed as a Deadly Drug by Media and Science
Campaign to Raise Awareness that the Pill Kills Gaining Momentum

Washington, DC—Last week, major media—including the Daily Mail—reported on the tragic death of 21-year-old Fallan Kurek, who died from a blood clot caused by the contraceptive pill she had taken for only 25 days. In addition, CBS News reported on a new study showing that newer forms of hormonal contraceptives increase the risk of blood clots even more than the older formulations.

“These stories illustrate the growing mountain of evidence that hormonal contraception kills and causes profound, lasting injury to women,” stated Rita Diller, director of American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood International (STOPP). She continued, “Planned Parenthood and others who try to hide this evidence do not have the best interest of women at heart. Their interest lies in profit from the deadly pills.”

On June 6, American Life League, STOPP, and over 50 cosponsors from 21 states and Australia will rally to expose the dangers of hormonal contraception. This marks the eighth annual observance of The Pill Kills National Day of Action. This year’s theme is The Pill Kills Truth.

Discussing plans for the event, Rita Diller stated, “We will hit the streets and the Internet to decry the Griswold decision and the havoc the pill brings to women’s lives and to our world. Doctors, nurses, lawyers, clergy, moms, and dads from all walks of life—with facts in hand—will refute the lies of Planned Parenthood and Big Pharma.”

American Life League Leads International Effort to Show The Pill Kills Truth
ALL and over 38 cosponsors will observe June 6 as The Pill Kills Truth National Day of Action

Washington, DC—On June 6, American Life League, STOPP (Stop Planned Parenthood International), and over 38 cosponsors from 18 states and Australia will rally to expose the dangers of hormonal contraception. This marks the eighth annual observance of The Pill Kills National Day of Action. The 2015 theme is The Pill Kills Truth.

Events have been scheduled in the US and abroad, including an educational meeting in Australia concerning the hazards of hormonal contraception by Dr. Rory Donnellan, founder of Immaculata Pathology.

Discussing plans for the event, Rita Diller, director of STOPP International, stated, “On June 6, we will hit the streets and the Internet to decry the Griswold decision and the havoc the pill brings to women’s lives and to our world. Doctors, nurses, lawyers, clergy, moms, and dads from all walks of life—with facts in hand—will refute the lies of Planned Parenthood and Big Pharma.”

Some of the notable cosponsors with national or statewide reach are Pharmacists for Life International, JillStanek.com, American Right to Life, Operation Rescue, California Right to Life Committee, TheWandererPress.com, and Pro-Life Wisconsin.

“The truth is the pill is killing babies, killing and crippling women, and tearing away at the very fabric of society—the family,” added Diller. “There is no end to the lies that are planted by population controllers to ensure every woman takes her daily dose of the death-dealing pill. We will refute the lies.”

Discriminatory H.R. 36 Not a Victory for Babies and the Pro-life Movement

Washington, DC—The passing of H.R. 36, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, is no victory for the pro-life movement, explained Judie Brown, president of American Life League, in a [blog=14813/]commentary issued today[/blog].

She also challenged pro-life leaders to protect all innocent preborn human life by pushing for corrected language in the bill as it moves to the Senate and to voice their support for H.R. 816, the Life at Conception Act.

“H.R. 36 does not protect all babies who feel pain—just some of them,” Brown stated, referencing exceptions in the bill that allow for abortionists to directly kill pain-capable babies conceived from rape, incest, and in cases where the life of the mother is in danger. Brown added that calling this bill a “ban” is a deceptive tactic as the bill discriminates against some babies in the name of political expediency. “Millions of faithful grassroots pro-lifers across the country are being deceived into believing that a bill that only protects some babies some of the time is to be celebrated as a pro-life victory.”

Brown challenged pro-life leaders to put aside political expediency and support H.R. 816:

“The positions of the politically-oriented pro-life groups on H.R.36 would be much more plausible if the message they were giving to their supporters was to tell Congress to pass H.R.36 this week and then, next week, pass H.R.816 declaring that ‘that the right to life guaranteed by the Constitution is vested in . . . each and every member of the species homo sapiens at all stages of life, including the moment of fertilization, cloning, or other moment at which an individual member of the human species comes into being.’ But they NEVER talk about that bill.”

American Life League urges its supporters to voice their concerns with the language of H.R.36 and to ask their members of Congress to put H.R. 816 on the agenda.
