FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact: Paul Rondeau May 21, 2013 540-659-4171 | e-mail: PRondeau@ALL.org PLANNED PARENTHOOD: CORPORATE
CARNAGE FOR PROFITWASHINGTON, DC - In response to efforts by the abortion industry to downplay the "House of Horrors" abortion murder trial, American Life League, the oldest Catholic pro-life group in the nation, released a new video report, "Planned Parenthood's Corporate Carnage," demonstrating that abortionist Kermit Gosnell is not an isolated incident.
"A major spin campaign is underway by Planned Parenthood to whitewash the truth about the abortion industry and paint Kermit Gosnell as an exception. The facts prove that Gosnell is no different than Planned Parenthood," said Jim Sedlak, vice president at ALL. "Almost simultaneous to Planned Parenthood's public relations campaign condemning Gosnell and distancing itself, its own lobbyist was testifying that Planned Parenthood believes babies born alive can be left to die. Furthermore, its employees in Delaware were blowing the whistle about botched abortions and filthy, unsafe conditions that were so bad that the Planned Parenthood abortuary had to be shut down----at least temporarily."
Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion chain in America. Its latest annual report reveals that it committed over 332,000 abortions last year and received half of its $1 billion dollar budget from government subsidies at taxpayer expense.
"Because of its ability to fund candidates' campaigns, Planned Parenthood has political allies right up to the oval office as well as a friendly media that help it shield the true nature of its income and business from public scrutiny," added Sedlak. "This ALL Report helps people understand that maiming and death----corporate carnage for profit----is as common at Planned Parenthood as it is across the abortion industry."###

Planned Parenthood’s latest oxymoron of a motto reads: “Planned Parenthood. Care. No Matter What.” But when it comes to its heartless, extremely lucrative abortion business, Planned Parenthood’s lack of ethical medical care and basic compassion are glaringly visible.
American Life League’s latest video report, “Planned Parenthood’s Corporate Carnage,” brings the greed and malevolence of the nation’s largest abortion chain into clearer focus, as it shows just how much convicted baby murderer Kermit Gosnell and Planned Parenthood have in common.
The report clearly illustrates Planned Parenthood’s wanton disregard for the safety of women, and shows how the nation’s largest abortion chain—while claiming to have the highest medical standards—has failed to provide the most basic cleanliness, how it has injured women in abortions, and how it has then failed to provide lifesaving care for them. This video is an indispensable aid in the battle to defund the organization that preys on women and tiny babies when they are most vulnerable.
The video report points to the statements of former employees who were blowing the whistle on Planned Parenthood in Delaware while the Gosnell murder case was winding down in Philadelphia. The women talked in terms of a filthy, meat-market style of assembly line abortions at Planned Parenthood that put women seeking abortions at dire risk of health complications.
It tells the stories of two women critically injured by Planned Parenthood in the course of abortions and denied lifesaving treatment.
And it shows a Planned Parenthood lobbyist’s testimony against a bill that would mandate lifesaving treatment for babies born alive during the course of abortion.
It is urgent that advocates of women and children pull out all the stops to shut down the Planned Parenthood abortion machine by cutting off its government funding.
We have crafted a letter that you may use as is or easily edit by following this link to our defund Planned Parenthood Action Center. Please act today!
When the headlines scream of a broken economy, why are we funding Planned Parenthood’s exploitation and killing of women and babies?

GOSNELL STRIKES A DEAL FOR MERCY |
|
|
WASHINGTON, DC - Abortionist Kermit Gosnell has been convicted of three counts of first-degree murder in infant deaths and one count of manslaughter in the death of Karnamaya Mongar. He also faced 24 counts of performing abortions past Pennsylvania's 24-week gestational age, 227 counts of performing abortions without giving the woman the mandated 24-hour waiting period, and other counts involving racketeering and operating a "corrupt organization." "After literally snuffing out the lives of hundreds of innocents at the very beginning of their lives, Gosnell acted to save the last few years of his own. In the end, Gosnell struck a deal asking for the mercy that he refused to the hundreds of babies he killed. The saddest part of this story is that Gosnell is not the exception; he is the rule. Each day, new reports of atrocities committed by abortionists on women and their children are being revealed across this country. Just because the media refuses to report these horrors does not mean they don't exist. Gosnell is not the problem: Refusal to recognize the immorality of abortion, whether committed in shiny offices on Main Street or in dingy clinics, only protects all the Gosnells across America. It is not our place to seek revenge, but we must all demand justice for the next generation. We pray that America will finally understand that Gosnell is like every other abortionist and every abortionist is no different than Gosnell." ### |

Gosnell Murders: Not the Exception |
|
|
Stafford, VA – Today, Kermit Gosnell, the “House of Horrors” abortionist and murderer, was officially convicted on three counts of murder, though hundreds of babies died at his hand. Judie Brown, president of American Life League, the nation’s oldest Catholic pro-life group, released the following statement: “We undoubtedly will now hear from other abortionists like Planned Parenthood how Gosnell is the exception and that he is not representative of the abortion industry. The highly paid pro-abortion public relations professionals will tell us how Gosnell proves that we need greater access for women to safe abortion. But Gosnell is the exemplar of those in the industry who place no value on any human being prior to birth, or clearly after birth. He is not the exception; every abortion kills a human being. Regulating abortion mills or the act of abortion will not solve this terror against the innocent. Abortion is a filthy business, and shiny clean abortion chambers do nothing to change the grievous crime to the most innocent. Abortion cannot be regulated. It must be eliminated.” ### |

Catholic Leader's Urgent Letter to Texas Bishops: SB303 / HB1444 "Back Door to Euthanasia" |
|
|
Stafford, VA – Monday, May 13, the Texas House will hear HB1444, “An Act relating to advance directives and health care and treatment.” It has already passed the state senate (SB303). Judie Brown, president of American Life League and three time appointee to the Pontifical Academy for Life, sent this urgent letter to all Catholic bishops in Texas: RE: SB3031HB 1444 It has come to our attention that the Texas legislature is considering a law that would actually expand the legal loopholes that enable doctors and other medical professionals to quietly facilitate the early death of patients under the guise of doing what is best for a patient entrusted to their care. The proposal puts an undue burden on family members whose loved one is already in a precarious state. The proposal is, in simple terms, a back door entrance to euthanizing a patient deemed to be in a situation where he will die anyway. This is not good medicine. The Texas Catholic Conference (TCC) website advises that your Conference supports this proposal because the bill is alleged to balance the protection of the life of a patient with the conscience of the provider. This sounds very good but is not in fact what the bill will do if passed. Improving end of life care should never equate with denying patients their rights as human beings deserving of respect for their dignity. The ethics committees referenced in this proposal are simply a smokescreen of protection for those who decide that some patients should live while others should die. It is inconceivable to us that you would support this bill. Perhaps prior to your endorsement your lobbyists had not adequately analyzed the language contained in the proposal. Of that we cannot be certain. We would ask you to review the enclosed testimony by patients' rights advocate Julie Grimstad and take another look at the troublesome bill. We pray that you will see the problems and work against its passage. Time is of the essence. God be with you and thank you for considering my plea. Sincerely yours in the Lord who IS Life, Judie Brown, President Encl: THE PATIENT'S PLIGHT: TEXAS "MEDICAL FUTILITY" LAW AND SB 3031HB 1444; testimony by Julie Grimstad Julie Grimstad, an expert on end of life issues and euthanasia, is executive director of Life is Worth Living. ### |

POPE FRANCIS: PRO-ABORTION POLITICIANS INELIGIBLE FOR HOLY COMMUNION |
|
|
WASHINGTON, DC----In a letter to the bishops of Argentina sent in late March, Pope Francis directed them to govern the Church there following the Aparecida Document. The text states, in part, "[people] cannot receive Holy Communion and at the same time act with deeds or words against the commandments, particularly when abortion, euthanasia, and other grave crimes against life and family are encouraged. This responsibility weighs particularly over legislators, heads of governments, and health professionals." Judie Brown, president and cofounder of American Life League, and Michael Hichborn, director of Defend the Faith for American Life League, sent the following letter to all U.S. Catholic bishops: Your Excellency, RE: Pope Francis and Canon 915 We are renewed in our joy over the election of Pope Francis. One of the reasons for our happiness is the Holy Father's reiteration of Catholic teaching as enunciated in canon 915. The report, published May 4 by LifeSiteNews and Breitbart News, states in part: "Pope Francis has directed the bishops of Argentina, his home country, to govern the Church there following a document that makes clear that Holy Communion should be disallowed for any person who facilitates abortion, including politicians. 'These are the guidelines we need for this time in history,' the pope wrote to the bishops." We pray that these words will be an encouragement to you as well because, like Argentina, the United States has her share of Catholics in public life who persist in their support of abortion while, at the same time, receiving Christ in the sacrament of Holy Eucharist. We write to ask you, in view of this recent news report, to act on Pope Francis' call and deny the sacrament of Christ's real presence-body, blood, soul, and divinity-to every pro-abortion Catholic in public life who has not repented of his support for the heinous crime of abortion. Thank you for your consideration of our request. You are in our daily prayers and we ask you to remember American Life League in your prayers as well. Sincerely yours in the Lord who is LIFE! Judie
Brown,
President
Michael Hichborn, Director Judie Brown was appointed twice by Pope John Paul II and again by Pope Benedict XVI to the Pontifical Academy for Life. ### |

Plan B: One Bad Decision After Another
|
|
|
STAFFORD, VA----Tuesday, April 30, the Food and Drug Administration reduced the age limit for Plan B and other morning-after abortifacients and declared that they should be sold over the counter for any buyers age 15 years or older. Judie Brown, president of American Life League, the nation's oldest Catholic pro-life group, issued the following statement: These pills are massive doses of synthetic hormones linked to blood clots and breast cancer. A teenager can now buy this dangerous chemical over the counter? Really? Her doctor need not know and her parents need not know, but when she suffers a devastating illness or worse, will the manufacturers of Plan B pay for her healthcare? And what if she ingests this chemical and a preborn child is killed? Who will tell her the truth? When Abraham Lincoln spoke the words of the Gettysburg Address, including, “Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal,” I am sure he could never have conceived of a nation where the government would treat women like guinea pigs, including female children in their teens. There is no equality when lies and abuse of power trump truth and respect for human dignity. Clearly, the nation is upside down today. We have a government of the devil, for the devil, and by the devil. Abraham Lincoln is spinning in his grave.### |

Planned Parenthood Sex-Ed Too 'Graphic,'
|
|
|
WASHINGTON, DC - This
week, both the New York
Times and Washington
Post rejected a full-page advertisement from American Life League
as "too graphic" and "shocking" for their adult readers.
What was too graphic? This full-page color advertisement showed images
from actual Planned Parenthood sex-ed materials used for children as young as
10 years of age. ALL couldn't agree more. The rejected ad can be seen here: http://www.all.org/pdf/PP_HookingKids.pdf.
