Dentists for Life launches membership drive

American Life League's Dentists for Life is beginning its fall 2004 membership drive, seeking new volunteers in its effort to establish a Culture of Life nationwide. "Many young expectant mothers need extra support because they are so bombarded by the abortion industry," said Craig Bozzacco, DDS, founder and director of Dentists for Life. "We in the dental profession can help them and help save babies' lives."

Formed by Dr. Bozzacco in 1989, Dentists for Life is a national organization of pro-life dentists and dental professionals opposed to abortion, euthanasia and infanticide. Members are dedicated to the adequate provision of dental care to, and support of, all expectant mothers. Dentists for Life members are avid participants in the pro-life movement.

Members draw public attention to health professionals, clinics and hospitals that support the sanctity of life, as well as those that do not embrace life. Their efforts help the professional dental community become aware that an organized group of pro-life dentists exists. They also educate the public about the need for dental care throughout life, and especially during pregnancy, and provide free or reduced cost dental care to needy pregnant women.

"We offer these services to expectant mothers in need because it's the right thing to do," said Dr. Bozzacco. "It helps strengthen lives and builds communities."
