Tip of the Month – Planned Parenthood’s Sex Education Evolution = The Destruction of America
From Stop Planned Parenthood International, a project of American Life League

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) has, since 1970, pushed for sex education in public schools. In 1986, its president, Faye Wattleton, stated that PPFA had established a goal of establishing mandatory sex education in kindergarten through twelfth grade in every school district in the nation. Planned Parenthood sees sex education as a way of indoctrinating our children with PP's philosophies – philosophies that include the acceptance of abortion and deviant sexual practices and philosophies that are in direct opposition to the teachings of most churches in this country.

As we look at the numbers today, we see that 3.2 MILLION teenage girls between the ages of 14 and 19 have contracted one or more sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), despite millions of tax dollars given to "comprehensive sex education" by Planned Parenthood. We see the results: higher rates, not only of STDs, but also pregnancy and abortion. Planned Parenthood continues to push its sex education propaganda while America suffers from it. Why? Money. Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion chain, and abortion brings in millions of dollars each year.

1915: Margaret Sanger wrote What Every Boy and Girl Should Know, which advocated a clinical approach as compared to a moral subject. Thus, today we have what is known as "comprehensive sex education."

1916: Planned Parenthood begins, opening its first center in Brooklyn, operated by Margaret Sanger and her sister.

1933: Elise Ottesen-Jensen founded what is now known as the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education. She later became the founding member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation.

1938: Sweden dropped its ban against disseminating information on birth control.

1944: Sweden decriminalized homosexuality and, by 1955, sex education was compulsory in Swedish schools.

1946: Planned Parenthood adopted a resolution advocating sex education for the U.S. (Planned Parenthood saw Sweden as the testing ground for introducing sex education in the U.S.)

1964: SIECUS (Sex Information and Education Council of the United States) was founded at Indiana University’s Kinsey Institute. Dr. Mary Calderone was its first director. She also served as Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s medical director from 1953 to 1964.

1965: The U.S. Supreme Court decides Griswold v. Connecticut by overturning the law prohibiting the use of birth control, thereby decriminalizing poison in the form of the pill. (Estelle Griswold was the executive director of the Planned Parenthood League of Connecticut.)

1965: In 1965, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) issued a medical bulletin that "officially" changed the definition of conception from the union of sperm and egg to implantation: "Conception is the implantation of a fertilized ovum [egg]." Once that happened, it was easy for pill manufacturers and other organizations, such as Planned Parenthood, to cover up how the pill works and only mention that it "prevents pregnancy" when, in fact, women have become pregnant while being on the pill.

1966: The National Education Association passed its first resolution endorsing sex education and the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare began to push for sex education in public school curricula starting at the lowest grades.

1967: The Pittsburgh chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) accuses Planned Parenthood of promoting birth control in minority neighborhoods in order to drastically reduce the black birth rate. The term "black genocide" thus comes into being.

1970: Federal funding for Planned Parenthood’s programs through the Title X program began.

1973: The U.S. Supreme Court decriminalizes abortion in Roe v. Wade, stating that a constitutional "right to privacy" exists that protects a woman’s decision to have an abortion. The Court permits states to outlaw abortions from viability until birth (third trimester) except when necessary to preserve the mother’s life or health.

1973: The U.S Supreme Court defines "health" (of the mother) in Doe v. Bolton decision to include all factors: physical, emotional, psychological, familial, as well as the woman’s age thus permitting abortion throughout an entire pregnancy.

Mid-1970s: Sex education courses already widely implemented in America’s schools.

Today: Planned Parenthood continues to promote pornographic, obscene material to children in order to desensitize them into living promiscuous lives so it can produce more customers and make more money. Quick examples: Planned Parenthood’s Teen Talk section on its own web site and the book, It’s Perfectly Normal, that Planned Parenthood endorses.

Deadly health risks for women: The unspoken side of the Obama birth control mandate
The Birth Control Mandate has forced the issue of contraception to move from being the elephant in the room to center stage. Perhaps in time we will see that it was a hidden blessing for our country. For years pro-life organizations refused to discuss or take on this topic despite the fact that free access to birth control increases the number of surgical abortions. Most people repeat over and over that birth control decreases the number of abortions. Nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, today for every child born in the US, there are an estimated 2 children killed in the womb from both surgical and chemical abortifacient drug abortions. What isn't being talked about is that the new mandate also pre-disposes women to serious long term and permanent health problems. In conjunction with the defense of both religious liberty and the spiritual well-being of women, we must also refute the absurd and deceptive statement that "women are healthier on birth control."

Have we really come a long way, baby? Abortion and feminism don’t mix.
The reality is we will not cultivate a culture of life until all women realize that we do not need abortion in order to be considered as smart, competent and professional as men. Not only do we not need abortion, we do not want it. Abortion does not elevate the dignity of women. It demeans us and forces us to reject our true nature. Rather than celebrating our femininity, abortion forces us to deny our womanhood. It treats our unique ability to bear and nurture a child as a liability.

Wrongful birth and wrongful life lawsuits just plain wrong
These lawsuits are pernicious for many reasons, the first is the assumption that the sick and disabled are better off dead. The second is that in states where this kind of lawsuit is allowed, it puts tremendous pressure on doctors to conduct a seek-and-destroy mission against fetuses with disease or disability. Otherwise, the doctor may be sued for doing his or her job: bringing a live child into the world.

Simply abandon the ‘norm against killing’ to solve organ transplant problem: leading US bioethicists
The conundrum faced by the organ transplant industry, that the removal of vital organs kills the “donor,” can be “easily obviated by abandoning the norm against killing,” two leading U.S. bioethicists have said. In an article titled, “What Makes Killing Wrong?” appearing in last month’s Journal of Medical Ethics, the authors have moved the argument forward by admitting that the practice of vital organ donation ignores “traditional” medical ethics. “Traditional medical ethics embraces the norm that doctors . . . must not kill their patients. This norm is often seen as absolute and universal. In contrast, we have argued that killing by itself is not morally wrong, although it is still morally wrong to cause total disability.”

Closing Thought

Leave everything to God and He will make the most of your good intentions.
