Defend the Faith - Project Overview
Monday, December 7, 2009 - By Michael Hichborn

The Defend the Faith project of American Life League defends and promotes the teachings of the Catholic Faith in the public square.  Pro-abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood attack the Church.  Politicians publicly and adamantly support legislation contrary to Catholic moral teaching but continue to present themselves for the reception of Holy Communion.  Catholic social justice agencies wittingly or otherwise fund pro-abortion and anti-family organizations.  Media and universities claiming the Catholic name align themselves with the Culture of Death and aberrant sexuality.

This project seeks to assist the Catholic Bishops of the United States by conducting Open Source Research to provide actionable proof to the bishops of the United States of these perils to the Church and its faithful.

On October 3, Defend the Faith published its report on the 2010-2011 grants from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.  The report concludes that:

"of the 218 organizations funded by CCHD, 14 are directly involved in activities contrary to Church teaching and 40 are actively involved in coalitions with such activities. Thus, 54 groups (24%) funded by CCHD are involved in anti-Catholic work."

I am outraged by the video on Hooking Kids on Sex. I will write to as many senators as I can to ask them to defund Planned Parenthood. It seems that our nation has been asleep at the wheel while liberals have changed our country right under our noses. We need to honor God in this country. Our forefathers warned us what would happen to this nation if we left God out. It is time for all Americans to stand together and fight this epidemic of immorality.

Debby, also keep an eye out for the books contained in the children's section of the public library, as well as in the school library.

Thank You for compiling this research. I must catechize the incoming RCIA people, in a few months, on the topic of "Morality". I thank the folks on the "Friends of Corapi" facebook page for pointing you out. I'm not a huge fan of the USCCB nor CCHD and this information must be disseminated.
