Inviting Mr. Obama to a fundraiser intended to help pregnant women in need is tantamount to inviting King Herod to a dinner party with Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. He seeks to kill the unborn which the Church is trying to protect. Please pray for his conversion but do not give him a photo-op so Catholics for Choice can beam.

Why would the Catholic Church include a President who has no respect for our beliefs and mocks our faith in a fund raiser? It give the appearance that we support his policies. No wonder Catholics feel they can vote for him. The Cardinals and Bishops of the church need to stand strong against a President who is trying to destroy our church.

Please revoke the invitation to president Obama for the Catholic charities dinner. This sets a terrible example for us Catholics and makes us feel that he can't be that bad for our faith if a reputable Catholic organization invites him to dinner. Jesus sat with sinners, but He knew their hearts and that they were honest listeners who might come to His Kingdom. That is not the way with Obama and we know that now. He stands for what he professes and an important part of his message is that Catholicism is to be opposed in the public arena and reduced to preaching within the confines of the church. This is not a man who deserves the precious real estate that is the Catholic Charities podium.

An invitation to Obama to voice his anti-Catholic views is such a disappointment to many of us. If the Cardinal is ok with this we have to ask -- what would the Pope think? Jesus had Pharisees and Sadducees but he didn't have atheists, and Islamists... if he did invite them to the table would HE have allowed them to speak---no---only to listen to HIM! I am the President Elect of the national Council of Catholic Women and as an individual Catholic Woman -- I object to this invitation.

A Gosnell Lesson

While we were all horrified by the actions of Kermit Gosnell, we should likewise be horrified by the millions of babies killed since abortion was decriminalized, and by the number of lives lost because of contraception. A baby is a baby from the moment he is created, but most people either choose to ignore that fact or remain uneducated. We must learn from the horrors we have seen and vow to do whatever we can to ensure that life, in all stages, is respected and protected.

Motherhood Has Become a Cultural Anomaly!

Mother’s Day is Sunday. Traditionally, it is a day to honor and respect all that mothers do and sacrifice for the sake of their children. And while this day is important, special, and necessary, we can’t help but wonder what our country would be like if we celebrated mothers every day. If mothers and babies were held in the highest regard, as they should be, each and every day of the year, think about the lives that could be spared. Think about the heartache that would not come about because a mother chose to abort her child. That would truly be a celebration.

Are Gosnell's Coldblooded Acts a Logical Result?

We all know how easy it is to become sensitized to something—whether it be violence on TV, song lyrics on the radio, or something else entirely. But what kind of nation do we live in when we find the majority of people sensitized to the killing of innocent babies? For 40 years now, it has been legal for a mother to have her tiny child killed. For 40 years, too few tears have been shed for these babies. And now we discover a man like Kermit Gosnell, who devalues life so much that he stabs it out of a baby with a pair of scissors. This is what the last 40 years has brought us. What will happen in the next 40?
