WELCOME to a new and exciting campaign against Planned Parenthood that is being launched by STOPP. This issue of the Wednesday STOPP Report describes the campaign using edited versions of articles that will appear in the May/June issue of Celebrate Life Magazine. In this new campaign, we make specific reference to Mary, the most perfect human being ever created by God. Although a human being and, therefore infinitesimally small as compared to God, Mary was, nonetheless, a creation worthy of having Jesus reside in her womb for nine months. As such, she received special favors from God.
In Romans 12:6 we read: “We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.” The angel in the bible reveals that Mary was “full of grace,” hence, she was given extraordinary gifts from God. In this campaign, we call upon Mary to use those gifts to put an end to the reign of terror that is Planned Parenthood.
We invite all of our readers, no matter what faith you profess, to join us in this united campaign to help bring an end to Planned Parenthood.
  
STOPP launches campaign to bring Jesus to every Planned Parenthood facility in the nation – through Mary

The leadership of STOPP takes time in prayer at the beginning of each year to examine what we’ve been doing and what we should do differently. As we journey through our 25th year of fighting Planned Parenthood, that prayer and examination have led us to realize that, if we are going to stop Planned Parenthood, we must bring Jesus to every PP facility in the nation.
Planned Parenthood kills over 300,000 babies a year in its own facilities. Former Planned Parenthood clinic director, Abby Johnson, who is now pro-life, has revealed that Planned Parenthood is aggressively pushing abortions simply as a way to make money.
To kill babies simply to make a profit is pure evil. It is truly the work of Satan. How do we combat such evil?
The answer, of course, is “with God.” Jesus has conquered sin in this world through His suffering and death. We need to bring Jesus to the Planned Parenthood facilities. To understand how we are to do this, we need to look at how God the Father brought Jesus to us.
In God’s perfect plan, Jesus came into the world through Mary. Therefore, if we truly want to bring Jesus to the Planned Parenthood facilities, we need, first, to take Mary there.
Mary is already being brought to many Planned Parenthood locations through the recitation of the Rosary at many PP facilities across the nation. We hope to inspire you to bring Mary in a more formal and visible way.
On May 15, we will launch our campaign to bring Jesus, through Mary, to every PP facility in the nation. We have developed special prayers and signs that can be carried to PP that will assist in that laudable pursuit. The prayers include a prayer of consecration of our fight against Planned Parenthood that is recited annually, and a prayer asking for Mary’s intercession that is said each time a person goes to the PP facility.
The signs feature beautiful pictures of our Blessed Mother, which include the words, “… please stop Planned Parenthood.” These valuable resources are available through our online store.
Now is the time to expand and to launch an all-out effort to bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood, through Mary. If everyone will join in this effort now, we are convinced that Planned Parenthood will be STOPPed!
To Jesus through Mary – This is the way we STOP Planned Parenthood

During the many hours spent on the sidewalk at the abortion mills of Corpus Christi, Texas, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, I began to know the Rosary well and pray it with my every breath. Face to face day after day with the greatest evil imaginable -- the killing of little children for money -- I came to understand what a comfort the Rosary is.
I also learned that Mary’s intercession has tremendous power over evil. Just the presence of her image at the abortuaries, PP facilities, PP gatherings and pregnancy resource centers drives demons away and brings down palpable grace from heaven.
Our Blessed Mother calms, attracts and protects
I learned that carrying a Rosary when I talked to young women considering abortion calmed them—and me—tremendously and facilitated generous help from heaven.
A large image of Mary, under the title Our Lady of Guadalupe, was our constant companion at the abortion mills and the pregnancy resource center, and years later, as I began my work as the Diocese of Amarillo’s respect life director and began organizing prayer vigils at the local PP centers.
Our large image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was tremendously meaningful to those of Hispanic descent. When they saw her and heard the prayers of the Rosary, which we continually recited while outside of PP facilities, the hurting women were often drawn to us. This gave us an opportunity to offer them alternatives to PP’s lethal “services” and build a relationship with them.
On many occasions PP workers left their employment because of the impact of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who convicted their hearts.
Our Blessed Mother is victorious!
Early in our campaign to stop PP, Bishop John Yanta consecrated the Amarillo diocese to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Preborn. He renewed that consecration every year.
Thanks to that consecration to Our Lady and the faithfulness of the bishop and the people of the Amarillo diocese, the evil that was once in full bloom there was overcome. After 11 years of prayer and education, 18 of the PP facilities in the Texas Panhandle shut down. A few months later, in December of 2008, the remaining two disaffiliated from PP.
As STOPP begins its campaign to bring Jesus, through Mary, to every PP facility in America, I pray that you will take advantage of all the grace that Our Blessed Mother will obtain from God for you and all those souls who cross your path at PP facilities. She whom the archangel Gabriel called “full of grace” (Luke 1:28) will bring an end to abortion. We are guaranteed the victory if we persevere in faith.
