WHO: American Life League Executive Director Shaun Kenney; Rev. Walter Hoye, sponsor of the California Human Rights Amendment; Pastor Stephen Broden, host of the Life and Liberty radio show and leader of the Tea Party and 912 Project; as well as Dr. Anne Bukachek and state Rep. Wendy Warburton - leaders of the Montana ProLife Coalition.
WHY: Montana will join California, Missouri, Florida and Colorado as the fifth state to introduce constitutional human personhood ballot initiatives that would recognize every human being from the beginning of biological development as a person under state law.
The CI-102 Personhood Constitutional Amendment would amend Article 2 Section 17 to say: (2) As used in this section, the word "person" applies to all human beings, irrespective of age, health, function, physical or mental dependency, or method of reproduction, from the beginning of the biological development of that human being. (3) The legislature shall implement this section by appropriate legislation.
