Planned Parenthood pressuring principals to bring immoral sex curriculum into public schools
Planned Parenthood Federation of America declared the week of September 28 through October 2 National Sex Education Week. In New York City, Planned Parenthood launched an effort it tagged “We’re Going to the Principal’s Office.” The PPNYC web site details its plan for training and networking parents of public school children to push PP-style sex education into all NYC public schools by pressuring school principals.
STOPP is calling on parents of public school children throughout the nation to counter this PP attempt at pushing failed “comprehensive sex education” on our children.
STOPP has a detailed proven plan for fighting sex education in the public schools. The many successes that we have attained can all be swept away if we do not remain vigilant. Contact your school board members and your local principal ASAP, send letters to the editor, and begin following the STOPP plan.
The most useful resources in fighting PP are the materials that it produces and promotes for children and teens, including the PP web site for teens http://www.plannedparenthood.org/teen-talk/index.htm; a book promoted by PP for children as young as ten years of age entitled It's Perfectly Normal; and the PP web site www.TakeCareDownThere.org. These resources prove that PP is not an abstinence organization, but a sex-pushing organization that is pushing immoral, salacious sex indoctrination on our children under the guise of sexuality education.
Other helpful resources in your fight against PP will include objectionable events and quotes from local PP officials that you can glean from a search of your local newspaper.
Another important resource is A Psychoanalytic Look at Today’s Sex Education by Melvin Anchell, M.D.
Diocesan Family Life Director points out lies in PP’s sex ed claims
The South Bend Tribune published an excellent “viewpoint” piece on Oct. 3. Written by Lisa Everett, co-director of the Office of Family Life for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ft. Wayne-South Bend, Indiana, the article counters “Get Real, Indiana,” an effort pushed by PP of Indiana promoting “abstinence plus” sex education.
Everett quotes an analysis of a 1986 survey conducted for PP by Louis Harris “which found the rate of sexual activity among teens who took a ‘comprehensive’ sexuality education course was more than one-third higher than among teens who either had no sex education in school, or who had taken a course that taught about reproduction but left out the promotion of contraception.”
She also looks at recent studies in England that have confirmed that increased access to contraception for teens leads to higher pregnancy, abortion and STD rates.
Much of the information from this article will be very useful to those fighting PP sex education on all levels.
In opposing personhood, PP and the media are finally admitting that birth control can kill human beings in earliest stages
“Birth Control Ban A Possibility,” shouts the headline of an article in the Central Florida Future. The article mirrors others we have seen throughout the nation in decrying proposed personhood amendments to state constitutions.
The wording of the Florida personhood amendment has PP and other abortion advocates in a tizzy, because it would declare all human beings to be persons from the beginning of their biological development.
“[Enactment of the personhood amendment] could lead to the banning of most forms of female contraception, specifically birth control,” the article declared. That sentiment is echoed on the Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota web site.
The Central Florida Future article goes on to say that Adrienne Kimmell, executive director of the Florida Association of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, opposes the personhood movement. “She said that it restricts access to reproductive healthcare and would send women’s health backward,” the article says.
Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League, penned an excellent article in 2007, explaining why PP opposes personhood amendments. The bottom line: it would put PP out of business. PP makes almost $110 million annually from its surgical and medical abortion business. In addition, it takes in another $200 million a year off of its so-called contraceptive products. Eighty-five percent of PP’s contraceptive/birth control products can result in the death of an already conceived human being by preventing implantation. A personhood amendment would truly protect human life from its earliest stages. Planned Parenthood is being forced to lift the veil of confusion it has erected regarding how most of its “contraceptives” work, in order to defend against the passage of these amendments.
STOPP urges you to work toward the passage of personhood amendments on the federal level and within your state, to protect human life from its earliest stages. For more information go to http://www.all.org/personhood/.
Champlain Valley RTL holds Life Chain event at PP abortion mill

On Sunday, October 4, Champlain Valley Right to Life hosted its annual Life Chain in front of the Planned Parenthood abortion center in Plattsburgh, New York. More than 125 people lined the streets in front of the killing center to witness to the sanctity of human life.
Champlain Valley RTL will hold its 37th annual Plattsburgh March for Life on January 17 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Newman Center, 60 Broad Street. Rita Diller, national director of STOP Planned Parenthood, will be the guest speaker.
One hundred forty-one babies saved by 40 Days for Life
Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities throughout the U.S. are under a siege of prayer. The 40 Days for Life fall campaign began on September 23. Now, just 14 days into the campaign, the campaign web site reports 141 babies saved from abortion – more than 10 per day! And those are known saves. Many women turn away without saying a word to anyone when they see people present praying for them and their babies.
The 40 Days for Life blog points to a shocking admission by clinic manager in New Jersey about the impact of the sight of people praying outside the facility. “To a lot of patients, it changed their mind right away and they never come back,” she said. “It happens a lot.”

PP name too controversial for health department
Planned Parenthood’s offer to pay $600 per month to the Adair County Health Department in exchange for its promotion of PP as a part of the health department has been turned down.
Tri-Rivers Planned Parenthood recently closed its Kirksville, Missouri, facility, citing lack of donations and low client rates. A recent attempt to contract with the Adair County Health Department to carry on the PP name fell flat on its face. The Daily Express newspaper report is a testament to decades of constant pro-life vigilance in exposing PP as a controversial organization.
According to a Daily Express news story dated October 2, 2009, ACHD administrator Claudine Frazier said “the money isn’t worth the headache that is associated with the Planned Parenthood name.”
“I don’t think [it's worth the price],” she said. “I’m almost skittish of it. You’ve got your pro-lifers, you’ve got all these other ideas of what Planned Parenthood is, [and] although they didn’t do any sort of abortions [in Kirksville], it kind of comes with it.”
STOPP has long advocated emphasizing the ironclad connection between Planned Parenthood and abortion and opposing Planned Parenthood at every turn, even in those locations that don’t actually commit surgical or medical abortions. Planned Parenthood is an extremely controversial organization and its name is becoming a tremendous liability rather than an asset.
