STOPP Calls on Pasco City Council to Deny Permit to Planned Parenthood

Washington, D.C. (25 September 2009) – STOP Planned Parenthood called on Pasco City Council in Pasco, Washington to deny a special permit to allow the building of a Planned Parenthood facility near an elementary school.

The nation's largest abortion chain is hoping the City Council will vote against the Pasco Planning Commission’s recommended denial of a permit to build a Planned Parenthood facility adjacent to Mark Twain Elementary School.

“It goes without saying the city council members would not allow the building of a pornography shop adjacent to the school,” said Rita Diller, national director of STOPP. “A perusal of Planned Parenthood’s Teen Talk Web site reveals Planned Parenthood promoting highly inappropriate graphic and salacious materials aimed directly at young people. Planned Parenthood poses a very real and imminent danger to children and teens and should not, under any circumstances, be allowed to build near the school.”
