Health Care Reform Sponsors Support Physician Assisted Suicide by Katie Walker Released September 15, 2009
Washington, D.C. (15 September 2009) – American Life League’s new video, “Obamacare: Ending the Elderly,” reveals that HR 3200 sponsor Henry Waxman and co-sponsors John Dingell, George Miller, Peter Stark, and Frank Pallone all voted against a federal ban on use of drugs for physician assisted suicide.
“Those supporting HR 3200 claim Obamacare won’t cover abortion and euthanasia,” said Michael Hichborn, host of the American Life League Report, “but history tells a different story. Supporters of the bill overwhelmingly favor abortion, euthanasia or both.”
In 1999, the House of Representatives passed HR 2260, the Pain Relief Promotion Act. Essentially, the Act prevents physicians from giving lethal doses of drugs to terminally ill patients.
“When Obama's government mouthpieces get on national television and claim euthanasia isn’t covered under HR 3200, they are misleading the American people, ” Hichborn said. “Page 430 allows patients to be starved and dehydrated to death - the same death sentence doled out to Terri Schiavo in 2005.”
The video can be viewed on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f19HjjDjbNk.
“The backers of this federally-funded abortion and euthanasia mandate have a clear agenda for those who care to see the truth,” Hichborn said.
American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown.
