A press conference announcing submission of the Personhood Amendment to the Florida state Constitution

WHO:
Personhood and human rights activists from across Florida and the United States
WHY: Personhood recognizes human rights for all human beings from the beginning of their biological development. The Florida personhood movement fulfills the civil rights movement. It fundamentally recognizes the inherent rights, dignity and worth of every person.
If passed, this historic movement would make Florida the first state in the Union to acknowledge full human rights for every human being.
The proposed Amendment to the Florida Constitution reads:
SECTION 28. Person Defined.--
(a) The words “person” and “natural person” apply to all human beings, irrespective of age, race, health, function, condition of physical and/or mental dependency and/or disability, or method of reproduction, from the beginning of the biological development of that human being.
(b) This amendment shall take effect on the first day of the next regular legislative session occurring after voter approval of this amendment.
